This game called Espiocracy feels like the exact game I've been waiting for, at least by the premise. It's a Cold War grand strategy, but with a focus entirely national intelligence. Making my own conspiratorial alternate history by lying to the public? Playing out 20th-century America-style imperialism? Hell yeah that sounds like fun! I'm anticipating what will happen when this new studio gets into the grand strategy arena currently dominated by Paradox. Not that they don't make decent games, but they really like to exercise their stance as the major publisher of the genre by half baking the product and selling the rest of it as DLC.
Just so you don't get the wrong impression, I am the worst grand strategy player in the world. I love the idea of the genre, and I've tried to play EUIV and CKII countless times, but all I do is flounder like a fish out of water. I did okay with Stellaris because it was much more approachable, but I'm not that into sci-fi games.

Pentiment looks like it will either be fantastic or total shit depending on who's writing the story. Either way, the concept is interesting and I've got my hopes up. There aren't enough non-strategy historical games and what they're released so far looks incredibly promising.

Scorn and Routine have also finally graduated from vaporware status. I don't really have any expectations, but they both look they'll be worth checking out for the visuals alone.

Small indie puzzle game with a nice art style and an interesting gameplay style. No confirmed release date but i can't wait to play it.
I thought it was some crappy mobile game riddled with ads at first. Looks good

Honestly... not much. The Klonoa Phantasy Reverie Series remaster that I plan to buy on Xbox, since it's the first time in 20 years we had a new Klonoa and I absolutely must buy it, persona 3, 4 and 5 that I wanna get physical on Xbox when they come out, and STALKER 2, since I really loved Shadow of Chernobyl way back when I played it.

Blendo games made one of my favorite videogames (Quadrilateral Cowboy) and that's why this one caught my attention (it's also an imersive sim)

I was flipping through the front page of Steam just now and stumbled across 1428: Shadows over Silesia. It's a historical action RPG set during the Hussite Wars made by a small team of Czech indie devs, and doesn't seem to have gotten any attention at all outside of the Czech-speaking internet despite the release date being only three days away. The story follows two playable characters on opposing sides of the conflict, a Hussite rebel and a Catholic knight, as they unravel what I'm assuming is a conspiracy involving devil worshipers with supernatural powers. The game is rough around the edges (the graphics can be a little lackluster in places and the English voice acting is downright bad) and has a very slow start if the demo is anything to go by, but the premise has captured my imagination and it's clearly a passion project. There seems to be a lot of attention to historical detail and what they've shown of the combat system and puzzles are fun enough to make up for other shortcomings.
The game is also designed to be 100% accessible to blind players and features a number of accessibility options that will supposedly allow it to be played through audio cues alone. I have no idea how they hope to pull off making a hardcore action RPG for the blind, but it's a really creative and ambitious idea.

Alright here's my run down. It's time to let go of the past and look forward to the future. You never know how it'll go down. This thread is like the opposite of nostalgia, instead longing for a better future. Anyways,

1. Tears of the Kingdom

"It'll reuse the same map! It's going to be boring!" Lol, don't care+ratio+L. By reusing the same map I can only imagine all the new things they can add to take BotW from tech demo status to a work of art status. Even though I already felt like BotW was a work of art. This is my most anticipated game as most Zeldas are. It's the type of series where I stop everything I'm doing and play it as much as possible when a new one comes. These games feel like a part of the "pillars of awesome games" like Elden ring or SotC. Also, I hope this game continues to make journos SEETHE.

2. Metroid Prime 4

Metroid dread was awesome but I can't wait for a whole new 3D Metroid game as I think it'll really blow my mind. This will be another defining game for me.

3. TES 6

I know Bethesda has gone through some periods of misses and disappointments, but I have full confidence that TES 6 will be incredible. Much like Zelda, TES is game series that Bethesda really likes to take as much care and time on. My only hope is that they bring back more in-depth RPG mechanics like from Morrowind.

4. Pikmin 4

Now I haven't played a Pikmin game before but I absolutely want to and I think I'll go with 4 as my first. The games look magical to me.

5. Starfield

The prospect of a Bethesda RPG in a new world and IP is pretty exciting to me. I hope this game can be a new peak for Xbox because I think they really need one right now....

Now, these are the main games I'm excited about but here are some other ones that are kinda general.
-Any indies that are alternatives to games I like
-3D indie games
-Rumored new 2D Mario game. (PLEASE HAVE AN ARTSTYLE LIKE THE ONE ON THE MARIO WORLD COVER!! I'M DYING FOR A MARIO GAME LIKE THAT!!!)
-new Mario RPG if that ever gets confirmed
-Potential competition between Switch and Steamdeck ushering in a golden age for hybrid gaming.
-Any new Valve games
-Astral chain 2

Bros I get the frustrations with modern games I really do. But it's ok to let go of the cynicism and look forward to the future. It's scary I know but I think it's more sad to only be stuck in the past, not giving anything new a shot. The future is yet to be written and I think games are only getting started. Just give the future a chance. Past failure is no guarantee for a bad future as long as that awareness is there.
