Recently, a shift to far right politics being hip
It was bound to happen. When the mainstream starts attacking something it become punk rock. It'll flip again. Leftism was punk rock in the early 2000s in the shadow of 9/11.

  • "Grindset"/"hustle"/overt self-improvement culture has replaced slackerism as the cool thing among young guys. Being lazy and disaffected is out, working hard (or at least bragging about it) is in. Working out, eating healthy, studying things outside of school, taking up religion, starting your own business, not looking at porn (unthinkable for teenage boys in my day), etc. seem to be trendy things for a significant portion of the young male population. I think this is a good thing overall, but it also has a tendency to turn performative and fuels con men like Andrew Tate and Liver King.
  • Women wear more makeup, especially foundation, than they did ten years ago. I think it has something to do with how popular online makeup tutorials have become. (I swear I'm not imagining this.)
  • More and more people, especially young people, talk in monotone voices with obvious vocal fry. It's replaced "pseudo-California accent with upwards inflection" as the default teenager voice.
  • Generational labels like "baby boomer" or "generation X" used to be something you only heard about on the news, and I don't remember many people using the terms in ordinary conversation. When I was a teenager my friends and I never really thought of ourselves as "millennials," and none of us cared about where the dividing lines between our generation and the ones before and after it were. Now it's the exact opposite. Zoomers actually refer to themselves a "zoomers" and seem to have a much stronger sense of generational identity (in the chronological sense, not in a "my generation will change the world" kind of way.) I can't imagine kids born during the gen X/millennial cutoff period coming up with an equivalent of "zillenial" to describe themselves. People didn't think about that kind of stuff as much.
  • It's socially acceptable to go out in public wearing gigantic over-ear headphones that make it impossible for strangers to talk to you.

Can you describe this one a bit more?

It's socially acceptable to go out in public wearing gigantic over-ear headphones that make it impossible for strangers to talk to you
Wireless earbuds and apple airpods especially, pretty much anyone 60 or younger is using them.

Its cool to be traditionally religious / its uncool to be into new wage woo.
Its cool to be nice instead of an drunk.
Its was cool to not be on the internet then it became cool to be on the internet now its cool to want to not be on the internet.
Lots of people are part of something while not being a part of it IRL, you see it on the internet and you're can just dress up and part of it even though you have no ties or previous interactions with the people on it. Previously classical music fans can become juggalos overnight by just watching the way people dress on the glowing screen.
Its normal for people to be taking over 9000 pills just not to commit suicide and not be considered basket cases nowadays, almost everybody is on something.
Being the quiet guy is a chad trait now instead of an retard one.
Due to the popularity of mma some people now somewhat have an idea of what to do in a street fight instead of just swinging for the fences.
Baggy pants were out then they were in then they were out then in again, i see kids with jncos as its a normal thing.
There is no traditional single player campaign focused fps games any more, everything its a twitch shooter or extremely brootal simulation.
There is no more 3d action-adventure platformers anymore they are all either just platformers or they are 2d metroidvanias.
Lots of people enjoy heroin as a past time now.

I can see why people think this, but unfortunately you've fallen for it.

Only a small number of people are actually improving themselves. The vast majority of people who talk constantly about "overt self improvement" are doing it for show. They are still sitting on the couch watching netflix and eating mcdonalds just as much as everyone else. I literally know people who "only eat healthy" when they go out, and then stuff their faces at home.

Slackerism (and slacktivism) were appealing because they were seen as free-thinking, "sticking it to the man" in response to the largely corporate-friendly early 2000s. Now that it's popular to be a corporate-friendly sheep, being "your own man" is the new "sticking it to the man". But nobody who talks about being independent really actually cares about becoming less dependent on corporations. They aren't buying less and making more, they aren't forming their own businesses to sustain themselves, and they're not acquiring assets to support themselves. Instead they are gambling on cryptos, working shitty contract-jobs so they can pay for their spotify and netflix subscriptions, and posting on TikTok about how healthy and independent and how "unplugged" they are.

no idea if i already didnt posted this, but
"never tell your name online!"
versus
"idgaf" google policy etc. + ignoracy

"dont tell people your location!"
versus
*snapchat* geolocation

"never post emberrasing photos you dont want parents to see!"
vs
*basic shit going on from like 2005-2007-on...*

That people become more and more openly opposed to the goverment/ authority. 10 years ago it was a rare occasion for people to shittalk their mayor or to attack the train attendance guys or to get into arguments with cops but now it happens regularly. I really like this change.

Man I wish. Yeah there's a loud group of guys who are doing this, that's great for them. I can see myself though, most boys I know are still disaffected slackers who jack off to pixels every day, doomscroll and play phone games all day. I honestly can't think of anyone I know who meets your description.

mostly mid-babybommer, millenial thing
or conservatives thing (leftis more on slacktivism, as it causes no bigger harm (in difference to "biilonaires stoling [futures]", vs. throwing can of paint or molotov...))

I think this is because the combination of rise of the Internet and good manufacturing jobs being exported as a result of late 70s/early 80s stagflation created the greatest gap between generations since World War 2. The world of say, the late 80s/early 90s was a lot more similar to the 1950s than today is to the late 80s/early 90s.

Trannies, and like degeneracy in general, now being both accepted and celebrated. And it happened so quickly too. Even in 2018 it was still acceptable for a comedian to make a joke about trannies. Now, even saying something like "well they can do whatever they want but I still don't see them as real woman" is still not "good enough". And we've even seen some countries trying to legislate away "transphobia", making it illegal to refer to them as the "wrong pronoun".

"GAYmer word". "GAYmer word" EVERYWHERE.
Just kidding, but change "GAYmer word" to tranny faggots. Actually, change it to all three words. "GAYmer word" tranny faggots. They're everywhere! Jews were sadly always here, though....

The fact that everybody is just so angry these days is a big cultural change, and how dangerous the streets have become. Next to that, I love the opposition against government that is taking lead. I also love that far-right politics are becoming more mainstream, who doesn't love being EDGY? One thing I really dislike is those cancerous tradcath trend going on where all of a sudden everyone is becoming Catholic, what a weird trend, sorry but I don't listen to pedophiles! (the pope).

But one thing which REALLY grinds my gears is the fact we have all these mentally ill young boys (aged 14 to like 16/17/18) are becoming faggots, and dressing in femboy clothing and acting like twinks. A good example of this can be found on reddit. Go to r/gaybroteens or r/teenagers. I love lurking there to see the idiocy of these little faggots ruining their lives, talking about being trannies and getting ASSFUCKED by pedophiles, and being proud of shaving legs and wearing skirts outside. Very sad how the Y chromosome is dying out. Lord have mercy on these souls.
