I feel like most people who like vaporwave also like shoegaze, since they share certain aspects like dreaminess and distortion, and for some, vaporwave was even a pipeline to shoegaze...But I personally think most shoegaze is mid. I like music that's kind of groovy, and shoegaze isn't groovy enough.

One thing that irks me is how often scientists go around testing all kinds of trivial shit, that typically ends up as nothing but fuel for hypochondriac delusions. Like there was this one guy who was trying to convince me to pee sitting down, and his clincher argument was; "Dude, you should see these pictures scientists took of toilets under UV light! Standing up to pee totally leaves all kinds of invisible droplets around that can't be seen with the naked eye!!!"--So what you're saying is that it's an issue that most people don't notice or care about?

I feel like the old phenomenon of making 'they all died and are in purgatory' type creepypasta about the cartoons zoomers watched as kids (remember that?) is related in some odd way to the phenomenon of overdiagnosing mental disorders; both are born from the same basic kernel of wanting to make trivial things more dire to lend them some gravitas.
