Rewatched THE COUNSELOR by Ridley Scott and Cormac McCarthy. I am reaffirmed that it is one of the best films of the 2010s. Go watch it. The consensus remains that it sucks, so you'll be one of the cool kids who liked it before people realized it was amazing (like Bladerunner)

AY YO there's this open source game called EmptyEpsilon, and it is pretty great. It is a starship bridge simulator, so each user controls one system (like weapons, for example) and you all have to communicate and operate the ship. There's a group that plays on Sundays - I joined last Sunday and it was dope. Game is free, runs on windows, lunix, and android.

I've been getting into baseball history recently, so I looked up the radio broadcast of the 1950 world series. Neat little time capsule. Anyway, the comments on youtube are mostly boomers reliving the glory days. Here's my favorite excerpt:

Youtube getting by anyone else's ad blocker? Someone on the chans complained of it, so I figure it might not just my ineptitude.

Today one of my workers got into a road rage incident with some lady. It escalated to her following him to the job site. She flashed her pistol so he went back to his truck and got his gun, then they blocked him in. She calls me at the office to complain and I'm like "bruh wtf" trying to talk to her and my employee while they're in a fucking standoff until the cops show up. It all worked out tho lol. What a Monday.

Yo idk if any of y'all care about baseball - but the Cincinnati Reds have been fucking FUN the last 2 games. Back to back walk off wins. New pitcher's debut was great. Another new rookie hit his first homer in his second ever game. Just absurdly fun baseball - the type of game you're lucky to catch once or twice a year - they've had 2 back to back. They're playing again right now, so get hype! Woohoo! Go Reds! (They usually fucking suck so this is a good time)

Anyone else watching Yellowjackets? I generally dislike TV and won't invest in a show until it is 100% finished because I'm so pissed at my favorite shows being cancelled (raised by wolves ). Anyway - my wife watches TV and I just kinda tune in or tune out, but this fucking Yellowjackets show is GREAT. Highly recommend.

At work I often have the news playing on one monitor. This made me think of how the news was always important in cyberpunk anime and had an interesting aesthetic. Shows like Ghost in the Shell (SAC), Neon Genesis Evangelion, Cowboy Bebop, etc. Now that Vtubers are I thing, it got me thinking - are there any global news vtubers? Or financial news or anything? If not - this is going to be a huge market. I'd much rather hear Mikasa read me the news.

Looks like Japan used to have this on the PS3, actually.

Update to the leaks:

Not going to share any of it here - but the MI5/CIA leaks over the last 48 hours or so have been MASSIVE. Names, birthdays, and exact coordinated for dozens of active agents in Ukraine and Russia. By all indications, these are being leaked by some edge lord on /pol/ for shits and giggles. They took photos of documents and uploaded them, clearly still being in their barracks or on base somewhere. This is not a some well done operation, this is some idiot brazenly posting extremely sensitive information from his phone.

At least that is my best guess at this time. Really insane to see - glowies are going to be captured because of this. The leaker will very likely be caught, given how sloppy it all was, and I think one could make a good case at prosecuting treason.
