Weird true story: Years ago I hired this plumber. He tells me he needs some cash upfront to buy materials. He takes the money and disappears. Doesn't answer the phone.
A week later he rocks up with nothing. I ask what happened to the money. He says he spent it on crack.
Full points for honesty, right?
Two days later the guy's old father arrives with pipes and shit and does the job. He didn't charge anything for doing the work. (Poor fucker.)
Next time I see the plumber is on one of those consumer watch/cowboy builders type TV shows. He's running away down someone's driveway with a journalist and cameraman in hot pursuit.
The US Politics thread has reminded me why 'discussing politics' online is the stupidest pastime on Earth. I include my own contributions in this. Never again.
Since the man passed away, and he's getting a little traction here, I'll take the opportunity to dump some of my favourite David Lynch memes/GIFs.
For the longest time, there was just this darkness. And all of a sudden, thousands of robins were set free, and they flew down and brought this blinding light of love. And it seemed like that love would be the only thing that would make any difference. And it did.
Came across a website dedicated to the manga of Nekojiru, including fan translations. Her stuff reads like a fucked up version of Hello Kitty. (Maybe even a little too fucked up at times for my own taste.) Thought someone round here might be interested. https://dailynekojiru.com/#comics
