thinking a bit about electricity stuff, especially that bit of news that went around a while back about companies planning on building nuclear reactors for their datacenters. it's a good solution, really - nuclear power is well suited for that application, and it's (mostly) clean - a better use than fossil fuels and probably more cost-effective and reliable long term than a renewable/battery solution. but, for some reason, I find the whole idea distasteful for reasons I can't quite fully explain. The idea of Microsoft/Google/whoever having much to do with nuclear reactor building just makes me nervous. I wish I could explain it.
