Not sure if this already exists , but I think the idea is cool. Feel free to share , talk about , or show 3D artwork and its history.
Ill post some of my recent renders in Bryce 7.1

Those are so cool. I don't do 3D art but I have some pics/wallpapers I've saved from misc places. Idk if some of these count if you mean specifically 3D renders, if this is off the mark i apologize.

These are awesome! I especially like the second-to-last one with the Legend of the Galactic Heroes-style laser cannons in front.
Oh, thanks. Yeah, the Battleship is the 'hero ship' so it's what I spent the most time on. Still might switch a few things around, and it arguably could use more detail, but I'm pretty happy with it so far.

Been working on some spaceship models.
They look really nice. I share @№56 's opinion about the Legend of Galactic heroes ship being real nice.
The second one reminds me of an exploration vessel, something that would pick up some alien eggs that kill the crew later that day.

Those look great. They remind me of some of the backgrounds from a game called "The Way."

Been working on some spaceship models. Most of them are kitbashed together from some CC0 assets I got off of blendswap, though.

Yoo, the stuff you guys make looks video game worthy!

I usually make 3D stuff based on wooden blocky toys for practice

I've only made two low ploy models made completely in blender:

I'm just starting on making scenes with backgrounds n' stuff...

This scene was based on a DIY miniature Bakery kit that I thought was cute, ultimately I want to make a project similar to Michelle from Cinni.net, she's been going for 2 years strong on her game projects, I find her modeling style SUPER aesthetic, and inspiring....

I'm going to look into Bryce 7.1 cause I really like the style of these retro renders.

i usually use a combination of 3d and photoshop either with photoshops built in 3d tools or limited blender experience

Haha, thanks. I hope so.

Anyway, your texture work is pretty good (way better than anything I can do) and your characters have a lot of personality.

Hope I'm not being rude, but is there a reason you're not using smooth shading? I know a lot of low-poly artists don't, but I also know from experience blender tutorials never really teach you about vertex normals.

Honestly, I like the aesthetic low ploy look to it, but I will admit I do go back and forth on using smooth shading or not, because I think the models might lose some their low ploy charm

Eh, it's fine either way.

I'd only really suggest using smooth shading if you were making for something specifically for a game engine.

Okay, I had a feeling smooth shading would come in handy for that, thanks for the head up
