Aesthetics Wiki thread - ideas, mutual help, details, designs

As first post: There is *this* problem

on Ae. wiki, there was question (1). Then, weirdly enough, i saw this related image (2).

(2) - https://static.wikia.nocookie.net/aesthetics/images/3/32/MCRWinMedia.jpeg

Y2k but leaned more towards futuristic and not saturationcore, colours, glitter and stuff, also not Y2K futurism. im desperate to find this since this IS my aesthetic. ive provided all information.

Its the more futuristic side of y2k, although im not really talking about the extremely futuristic side. for some reason the evanescence fallen album cover is like the perfect photo to describe it, sites like old myspace capture that aesthetic. its not y2k futurism, as that was what i was referring to with "extreme".

(this aesthetic isnt that old as windows 95, more as windows vista, im trying to show myspace. NOTHING to do with windows 95 or 98.)

There arent that many differences but its not that futuristic. userbars are also in this aesthetic. no its not webcore. Y2K Futurism is also, as i said, way too extreme, so we can cross out Y2K Futurism, old web/webcore, and Y2K itself (except if its a subgenre of Y2K),

Although userbars, avatars and icons were in this aesthetic its NOT webcore or old web.

Main colours: blue, cyan
Year: kind of 2006/2009 ish, i dont really know

Songs: bring me to life by evanescence, 2020 by SUUNS, all the things she said by tatu,

Deus Ex Invisble war seems to fit in that description, is weird, that game always makes me feel depressed and dread, like with many Y2K aesthetic things.

text:

Do you remember New age revival, ...?

-older being from early 90s (CGI new age weirdness, frutiger aero style)
-younger from e. 2010s (mainly typography and photography captions)
(https://aesthetics.fandom.com/wiki/Talk:2014_Tumblr) (https://aesthetics.fandom.com/wiki/Talk:Live_Laugh_Love)
what youd call these? (pics below)

they were once everywhere, it is similar to these here, 2010-2014 cca era; "virgin" (*goofy filter*-times) instagram
[[File:Dolce vita fontface.png|thumb]], and similar fonts - with --mentioned (related) new age-y/hipster [/ Swag] style beach images...
like these! (other friend on discord bought those, and it reminded me of their own style, and that i kept seeing those)
- problem is, it is not so simple - these are well-presented from like 90s-on, it is not only lite-, young (meme/filters, 2010(s) times) [fun]'stagram! i saw those on albums also - see here, i reposted those on server also... /problem is inconsistency in style...

(image not mine, but it ecompasses what i look for, try to describe, 99% /i remember 2010s instagram/tumblr/flickr, in its infancy, used to be like this, with above- fonts and phrases)

Are we going to Athens or Rome?

@Still a Youth I discern in you a well-read individual who quite likely comes from a background of reading philosophy, and is thus accustomed to strict employment of language and terminology, so as to facilitate the employment of Reason and Logic upon that language. I studied mathematics, so I am familiar with this style of writing myself, but as mentioned in the introductory disclaimers, I try not to get too bogged down in that here, mostly because I trust people on Agora pretty much universally have an inkling (or a vast view) of what the problem later delineated is, and that we all intuitively point at and attempt to grab it under different labels. In such circumstances, what might seem like sloppy (or more charitably, "poetic") employment of language may actually serve to reduce obfuscation, through repetition and varied example under different nomenclature (though I made no attempt to repeat myself in the work).

Idk i studied history before i figured i like philosophy so it was already ingraines in my to read primary texts. Secondary texts are usually sufficent for general understandings but some would go as far as to say you dont even truly understand a philosopher unless you read them in their native language

I mean... you can, but it's like trying to build a house on top of shoddy foundations. It might be fine, or the cracks in your initial understanding may lead to enormous wastes of time and confusion.

Primary texts are superior generally for more than just a quick look over the topic to see if you're interested, even more so if its a language you dont natively speak (such as Latin)
