The renewed conversation over in this thread reminded me that I never actually shared any of my art here. These days I only really draw pose practice and characters for ttrpgs I play/dm. Here's a few relatively recent ones.
AverillFace.pngRileyGlenn.pngTy.pngDrezzick.png
I also drew some comics of scenes from our campaigns, although I'm not sure if it'll be funny to anyone who wasn't there for the game.
goodJobText.pngfall2.png
And finally, I know there's a bunch of Touhou fans on this site, so I'll share some cringy fan-comics I drew several years ago.

Rise from your grave!

Been a while, Well, I've drawn a few things here and there and made some flags, I'll dump a majority flags I made, both new and old as the old ones were recreated on inkscape and turned into PNG files on paint.net

Anglia flag.png
Bassalia Flag.png
Commonwealth of Southland flag.png
Corteza Flag PNG.png
Lillya Flag.png
New United Federation Flag.png
Pashtunistan Flag.png

National Flags from fictional countries of mine based on real world ones From A to Z

  • Anglia (England/Great Britain)
  • Bassalia (Netherlands)
  • Commonwealth of Southland (Australia)
  • Corteza (Mexico)
  • Lillya (France)
  • United Federation of Alexandria (United States of America)
  • Pashtunistan (Afghanistan)
I also made some State flags of the United Federation, at least about three total as of 6/17/23. I need to finish the next 47 state flags.

Augustinia Flag.png
Imperia Flag.png
Sierra Republic flag.png

State names from A to Z, they're in references to the states in the real world.

  • Augustinia (Based on Florida, Palm Tree and color scheme, in reference to the fruit and tropical climate. Name based on St. Augustine, an important city to both Floridian and Early colonial history)
  • Imperia (Based on New York. The purple and gold color scheme, roman theming, and name are in reference to New York's nickname: The Empire State)
  • Sierra Republic. (Based on California and the California Republic. Unlike in the real world, Sierra managed to last more than at least a decade as a republic. The name is in reference to the Sierra Madre, Sierra Nevada that stretches along California.)
Lastly some sketches, mostly furry obviously. I'll draw some humans in the near future.

I don't know if you would be interested, but most modern flag design actually descends from heraldry. So if you want to learn more to draw flags that have a more "flag" feel to them the Wikipedia Heraldry portal is actually a great resource.

Or, if you don't like wikipedia.

You can probably find this book at a local Library, the dude re-releases it like every few years under slightly different titles, so just look for a Heraldry book by him and that's the one.

N-0036-300x400.jpg

This is also a good book, but only for examples of coat-of-arms, as it doesnt explain the rules that govern them. book is also a bit rarer so finding an online scan would probably be your best bet.

Of course the use of these things would depend on your degree of flagtism, if it's just something you do to dick around this stuff would be overkill lol.

I've been aware of Heraldry actually and do follow the rules when I'm making flags, but thank you very much for the suggestion.

Granted what I would like is a portfolio of sorts where I can just download symbols for future flags instead of doing image searches. Especially for heraldry as I am not nearly as experienced with Inkscape.
