Welcome to the 15th mensual Agora Road Travelogue!
Initially inspired by the Bring Back Blogging movement, this is an Agora Road version to encourage y'all to WRITE STUFF!
  1. Commit to writing 2 blog posts in this month of October.
  2. Indicate, in some way, that you are participating in the Travelogue on the blog post you are submitting.
  3. Upon publishing your post, you must comment in this thread your 1) Article's title 2) Link to article.
  4. Consider joining ZinRicky's RSS feed like a baws
Q: What if I don't have a website to publish on?
A: Feel free to submit blog posts here on the forum. But its BIGLY encouraged to make one! It's not too hard to start, don't let perfect get in the way of good, let your crude initial aesthetic be, let your content shine. The Personal Web thread may be able to point you in the right direction.

Q: Am I limited to 2 posts?
A: No, but you will need to submit at least 2 otherwise you're a poser and will be publicly shamed

Q: Any restrictions on content?
A: Other than the content being one's own, no, but please do not abuse this.

Thank you to all who participate, write away!

also, is this good, short post? it is just idea, but i have nothing else to write and it is so far the best thing imho i could ever write

Theory Concept (Codename: Image-as-a-source)

My dream is to be able to update my webring button such way, that (and not just on my side) link (image), directing one (in person) here, or - anywhere; could be changed without need(less) to update the copylink (src of my NC button there(fore)), - but my image itself (its *properties* are known!...) - assuring for no further action from any of all respondents; - i.e. rendering image itself, by some yet-unknown means, to somehow contain (itself) self-editable (in-)function --- all people having [my] button (code, its *properties*...) [color, size, code[+link] (yes/no)... >> is "self-spy-navigation" needed, and (...if) yes, how?] will be redirected (w/o change of link and-or redirect within the source of incorrect web-adress "directory") all (of) as well, on precipice of (image/code *props.* - w/o further n-on-1 user-edit) therefore!

I always love your entries, even though most of the times, like in this case, I'm not fully capable of understanding the core of it. From what I could get is that you wish to implement some sort of button that automatically updates the link in directs to whenever you want to do so, without requiring the user to do anything on their side. While this is definitely doable if you use an iframe that contains a portion of your page, where you can choose its contents however you like, I don't know if this is doable within a webring context. It sounds like it should be, however this action might be restricted precisely because it could lead to some abuse of it by part of some users, where they would originally redirect to a certain page only to redirect to a malicious website later on.

This was supposed to be submitted last month but I had a hard time writing and posting it. It was for September's IndieWeb Carnival, which its theme was Suicide and what's personally helped you deal with it. I had a brief, but intense flirt with considering killing my self a while ago now, but it's never left my mind. And, even after getting passed it, I was still affected by "the battle" for a long time to come. If you're OK with the topic and open to hearing some personal struggles, for your consideration:

Decided to jump back in after a relatively long hiatus, I'll probably redesign my site so that it is easier for me to post stuff, as I think that will make me actually post stuff I write (right now it takes me like 20 minutes to manually html-ize everything, add it to my posts page, and my RSS feed). My new submission is about the Arnolfini Portrait, an interesting piece of Renaissance art that's captivated me as of late:

Found this link over on 32-Bit Cafe:
I think it'd be worth adding to the first travelogue post or post that list open writing challenges. I've been meaning to write that one actually. @nakadashi

»What you Do, with... well..., "others"?«

This is my journaling public semi private fatal crash no deaths relatable indefinable... No.
You are used to this by this point I could and sometimes should write on themes by others, but tbh we all see where as ever that would go. You read "few" (thanks!).
No one listens if you dont speak up- which is weird if you are empath, to pick up moods - if you, then, are one too...
Why do I do this if I get nothing to say really? - if I could tell; wouldn't make me scared, creeped out... Something something empathy *above*, I guess... ("*Cassandra*", - "told you so...!!!" > i.e., ***NPCs accepting anything***)

(*edit: STT made mistake - corrected! now, it should make sense)

Cya next!(?)

This is a really depressing entry. I can say that I often feel the same around people, although my recent sentiment towards it is to don't give a fuck. People come and go and I don't see any issue if I am not liked by any of them, since most likely I won't see them ever again. The again, I have a secure remote job, and my social inabilities have only rarely interfered with my career. I can see how it would be worrisome to have your autism impede you to land a good job.

My recommendation to you would be to learn to code. That way, you could work remotely and not really worry about your interactions with your co-workers. Since you are already a designer, your skill set would be complemented and in high demand. This has the downside nonetheless that you could end up even more alienated if you are not forced to interact with other people through work, although you could search for a hobby that satisfies this. I personally do dancing.

Power to you, my friend, hopefully soon you will be able to find stability in your life.

This is an interesting entry. First of all, I have to praise your writing. It is excellent, very dramatic and full of life (no pun intended). Second, ¿hablas español? Spanish is also my native language and it is always a pleasant surprise to encounter another Spanish-speaking person on this anglophone Internet.

I agree that rage is a powerful tool to achieve goals. After long sessions with my therapist I learned that there is nothing inherently wrong with it, quite the contrary, it is as natural a sentiment as sadness or happiness are. Even nowadays I lift weights by listening to Pantera's "Mouth for War". As for how appropriate it is as to make of it the main reason to live, well, that's a tricky issue. If I remember correctly, there's a character in Thomas Pynchon's V. that finds inner peace by torturing others. Somewhat related, there's Asuba Bawana, a form of meditation to relief oneself from lusty thoughts that requires to meditate near a corpse.

Life and death are neatly entangled and, while not endorsing suicide, I want also to recall the story of Prince Mahasattva, who reaches enlightenment after offering his body to a starving tigress.

This is a very interesting interpretation of this painting. I was also vaguely familiar with it, mostly because of the insertion of the painter himself in the mirror on the painting.

Good review. I am personally not that into fantasy or YA, so I can't really say that I will visit them any sooner (haven't event found time to read Lord of the Rings), but I'm glad that you are enjoying re-read them.
