Is this server still up and running? I'm unable to connect to it after following all of the steps. I just get a connection lost message when I try to connect.

Getting this error. Checked my username is less than 16 characters long, and checked I'm using Java 8(openjdk version "1.8.0_362"). Is the server up? Looking up this error seems to indicate it might be caused by server being down

yeah looks like java is being a rat bastard on my host, im going to spend some time this week refreshing my host and maybe set it up under podman

building a huge underground biome was the first thing I did when I played MC with friends in 2011 or so lol. this brings back memories.
Because we were several players it had a very high ceiling and was about 5 times that size with a little village, a river and lake and animals/flowers and some artificial hills and such. We had probably a dozen double chests full of cobblestone from the excavation and used that to build a giant collusseum on the surface where we faught with wooden swords
