I think this is the quintessential loser forum. I just started making all these shitposts (look at my first posts, they were just normal) as it slowly dawned on me that I didn't give a shit about anything you guys were talking about and found you all to be incredibly boring and normal. It was just the same shit they're talking about everywhere, felt like no distance from the hive-mind at all. The general atmosphere here is just not very "old web". It strikes me as more of a twitter/tumblr kind of culture bent heavily into zoomer culture, with these aesthetics just draped around loosely and trivially. A few very depressing esoteric types are effusive with knowledge which is the only unique aspect outside of the aesthetic, but this is mostly effective to cultivate paranoia and ultimately not pragmatic as far as restoring things (PEOPLE) to the way they were. So the redemptive side of this site is a total farce. I would rather to find some place where people BEHAVED like the old web, and not just basic 2020s cryptid xd cunt shit showered in y2k party drapes.

This place is a total bait and switch and these are literally the same human beings you will find just outside of your house (>reddit). It's like an elaborately decorated room in VR Chat and everyone's going "this is second life"- it's still VR chat, same dudes same game.
