Thought y'all would find this little piece of (at home) music production history interesting. Probably not super useful with the power of a DAW today, but as a novelty I find this type of thing really fascinating.
I actually haven't pirated software in several years, but I imagine that keygens and cracks still use these .MOD files for their music. At least, practically everything I pirated from something like 2005 all the way up to 2015 was almost always accompanied by a .MOD. I still have a pack I downloaded from Paradox (PDX), with music by Estrayk, many years ago containing her1.mod through her10.mod and an executable to play them all; they're all timestamped as from November 2001 but I certainly didn't download these then. I did a quick YouTube search and of course someone has already created a playlist with all 10 .MODs and a screenshot of the application itself. Have a listen!
her10.mod is probably my favorite, mostly because of that beeeeefy bass in the intro --
