go on the board rn and you might find some posts where the posters have names. which is already one thing. most posters on 4chan don't use usernames. but the names themselves are just a random word followed by a tripcode. people usually only use tripcodes when they need to verify that they're a certain user. (usually an op would do this.) the posts and / or the replies also feel kinda off. as if they're not quite on topic and that their english is always phrased in a certain way. it's kinda hard to describe but it really does feel off. is there anyone who browses 4chan who's seen posts like this?

Not necessarily, namefags are a thing and they usually have stupid one word names like "bagel". I avoid them nowadays but I remember I used to see a lot on r9k at some point...

tripfags on circlejerk boards like /r9k/ or /lgbt/ in this case have been a thing since forever. They love to attention whore and blogpost
