I nominate the sammy king, this is his domain
:BigSmoke: My grandma makes homemade bread so I'd prefer that but it is a rare commodity these days.
Butter the bread in blue cheese
Get a can of Spam, cut into rectangles. Optimally you would wanna grill these but pan cooking works well. they take deceitfully long to cook till crispy but this also depends on the size of your cuts.
after you cook your spam you can start grillin your bread. Don't go crazy on the blue cheese or your bread will rip.
after you got your bread LIGHTLY grilled you can start building your sandwich I use 4 pieces of spam, 2 on the bottom 2 on top.
Sprinkle blue cheese (not the dressing you used on the bread) and add some provolone cheese. Then add 2 spam on top. repeat the cheesin, 2 more spam. cheese again. now you got your sammy constructed but we are not done. Grill your sammy again to melt the cheese and cement the sandy together for optimal structural integrity.

now you got da rick sandy. A can of spam makes 2-3 sandwiches so I make extra to reheat later. they are still really good leftover.

I have one more sandy for you. some times we don't have the luxuries of nice cheese, and homemade bread.

The poverty sammy

with a saucepan over low heat, melt butter. Whisk in flour all at once to form a roux. Whisk in milk, a little at a time, increase heat to medium-high, and cook, stirring, until thickened. Bring to a boil. pretty cheap materials (you can also make chipped beef on toast like this, just add chipped beef now. chipped beef is pricy though) now take some sardines and throw that in the mix. (these are about 0.60-1.00$). Put some bread in a toaster and then throw it all together.

Poverty sammy.

Bread
Mayonnaise
Honey Mustard
Giardiniera
Cheese
Ham
Bread
Toast the bread+ham+cheese before putting the rest together.

It's kind of boring, but those are the ingredients that I have on hand most of the time. Putting too much effort into a sandwich feels wrong.
I also really like peanut butter and jelly/peanut butter and banana sandwiches but those have so much sugar that I feel bad eating them.

cheap baguette from Leclerc (0.40€)
cheap margarine
cheap salad thats 50% off because it will go bad soon
cheap ham thats 50% off for the same reason

(in case you didn't notice I am a low income french citizen (tho my ingredients would probably still be the same if i had more money tbh))
(I might replace cheap salad from the store with free salad I can gather outside one day I just have to stop being lazy about it)
