Colorado bans Trump from state ballot

I'm not all that invested in the elections these days but I thought this was an interesting development. Anyone know if this kind of situation has any precedent? I'm curious as to what will come of this.

No precedent to my knowledge, but there's no way in hell this doesn't get overturned in the US Supreme Court. Trump's never been formally charged with insurrection right? This won't stick.

It's never going to happen, he has absolute destroyed his credibility with conservatives, him trying to height-max with those goofy ass boots didn't help either. If he would've waited until 2028 he would've easily been the front runner. At best he could be a VP pick down the road.
Vivek is more likely at this point, but I really don't trust him. Reminds me a lot of Obama in the sense that he's articulate and knows exactly what to say to his base and when, while also having the added flair of knowing how to create a spectacle/viral moments, but just like Obama the outward public persona seems rather disingenuous.

This is why I almost always vote 3rd party for local and state elections and why I've given up on national level elections, Republican and Democrat candidates are terrible and often are too old to really be in power. Democrats if you want me to vote for you get better candidates, as in they're not corpo bootlickers who are three or more times older than me.

Same here. My personal hope is that Desantis and Trump causes a split ticket with their party.
