Community Vaporwave Tier List Idea

This sounds really stupid, but what about we share some tier lists on anything related to vaporwave? I only really got this idea from the amount of tier lists I look at regarding every fighting game I play. (I usually just play Mortal Kombat, even the old ones and such)

I have a few Ideas on what to make into tier lists but I'm too lazy rn so maybe tomorrow I'll do them.

Idea 1: Vaporwave essentials tier list. Take a list of a bunch of essential vaporwave releases (if you do the ultra guide you're insane and I have respect) and rank the. For example, stuff like floral shoppe, eccojams, Blank Bnashee 0. The basics everyone has listened too, then rank them based on your own guidelines.

Idea 2: Subgenre tier-list. This one is very self explanatory, pretty much just take every subgenre and rank them. Simple as that.

Idea 3: Artist/ Producer tier list. Just take a lot of prominent producers and rank them to how you think they've affected the Vaporwave community and how defining their music is

Like I said I will probably do this tomorrow for a couple of reasons but I first want to say tier lists are like opinionated but rooted in the facts, as seen in FGC. For this considering it's music and, honestly just for the fuck of it and spark discussion, I don't really know how well this format works.

You can't rate two albums on a "factual" basis the way you can compare two fighting game characters. Finding out which producers "affected the scene" the most is like, who cares? Their music isn't any better regardless of how obscure it is. I'm not a fan of either, but DDS is better than Mac Plus or Saint Pepsi; why make it seem like Mac Plus is superior?

I'm not against popularity contests in general - a very simple poll from this board of our favorite vaporwave albums may be mildly interesting - but I think we have enough polls, essentials lists and such as it is.

Pretty much that but more opinion involved, I like tier lists because people make shit like cereal tier lists or fast food tier lists....
They show your true ranking opinion imo

Yeah sure, I'm working on my own per se, (basically what I think is the best, I'm personally doing the subgenre tier list because there are so many)
