On Day 1, I'm embarking on a massive building project that will put even China to shame. A transcontinental high-speed rail network, a dozen or so new cities, mandatory rezoning and densification of existing urban downtowns, involuntary civil commitment in state-run mental hospitals for the mentally disturbed homeless, and free housing in "Opportunity Cities" on federal land for the rest. We will also be colonizing the Moon, Mars, and oceans to the fullest extent possible with current technology. I also intend to dramatically increasing salaries for teachers while completely neutering their union and making it easier to fire even modest underperforms.
