As the fabric of society decays greater and greater numbers of people move to a default setting of morality and unknowingly act against their own self interest. While we likely have some choice on the radius of meta-society that we inhabit most of us choose not to articulate exactly what it is that we believe as a result of that choice. Whereas in the past someone could choose a subset of the morals available to them in the real world i.e. Protestant or Catholic now people choose this by default when choosing the technologies they use. Even in small doses technology can dictate a persons default moral settings. These default settings directly affect a persons real world experience.

Articulating your morality is almost mandatory now, in order to understand yourself and to be understandable to the real people in your life.

What is your morality? Do you actually have one?

This year I have some good opportunities to think about the outside world, the other people and how the behave and live. I structured some thoughts that I might say are my rules to life within myself and I have to say a lot of my philosophy that I had created is familiar to what David said in the speech. Personally I don't have any morality and I don't like the world morality either. What does it even mean? For example I might value death penalty and someone else doesn't so in positions like what is morality. That's why the whole concept of morality and ethics are on the subjective spectrum. I value being good human being, helping others in ways that I can and seeing beauty in everything. So what I mean by being good human being. I think that it is something that every human being have to know what actions are good and what actions might bring some bad outcome. It is not about morality but about being conscious of what you are doing in life. Why people are so hateful and greedy to each other? What's the point of it. It doesn't bring any value to each of other. I am trying to live as reasonable person and open minded to any opportunities and I hate making people sad or depressed, I always try to solve problems by conversation. There are of course situations that I don't give a shit about others and I have intuition that some people can not be helped. In the end it brings everyone of us to create our own meaning but on the other hand your actions also interact with other people even though you might know consider is that way. Everything on the world is connected, from microorganisms to each person. That's how I view the so called morality.

I feel like I have a core morality at the center of my self that I've been attempting to follow over the years, but I've been influenced so much and altered by the copious amounts of societal influence over the years that I don't even know which viewpoint is organic and which viewpoint is actually debris from a life of constant conscious and unconscious stimulation. At this point I assume that my inner critic that floods me with regret whenever I go against a certain point of view is the purest form of my morality. The way I am living at the moment goes against what I consider my purist form of morality on such a deep level that It's almost comical at this point (excessive media consumption, no friendships outside of the internet, dead end job, porn addiction etc). Luckily I've made some changes that have been dampening that critical inner voice (diet change, starting school again related to a subject that actually gives me motivation for the future, socializing a bit more, etc) and aligning myself with that original sense of morality. At the end of the day I guess I just want to minimize the amount of suffering and exploitation in my life.

I think it comes down to simple maxims. "Do unto others..." etc... Like building a tree of these simple concepts and being able to reliably re-navigate up and down to determine consistent responses to moral problems.
Love that point on technology setting moral defaults and it's true that it's more necessary than ever to be able to articulate a moral system. This requires a lot of interospection and honesty to be properly achieved without a lot of your basic assumptions being set by such outside influences. It's in the subtlest influences and can't be overcome alone. Morality exists whether you want it to or not, no matter how you determine right and wrong.

Feel that hard. I don't really know what I'm doing morally and it bothers me more than it probably should. Trying to follow something but don't know what. Proclaimed vs Practiced Morals, in my experience people's standards are almost always above their practices, myself included. I'm making bad choices all the time, but that must be because I think they're good choices at the deepest level of my individual self, and a more superficial thing tells me it's bad? I don't trust the 'inner critic' very much but it's useful. Minimizing suffering can be a good starting point.

Shouldn't it just be Good Vs. Evil instead of Order Vs. Freedom? Since both order and freedom can be either good or bad on their own (which you mention). This sounds like a Yin and Yang heresy.

I believe order and freedom differs from good and evil they are difgerent categories and different measurement scales. Personally i categorize them different, i believe that freedom and order aren good or evil but if you lose the equillibrium youll have pure evil results. Also 100% good is utopia(chaos), 100% evil is dystopia, for me the equillibrium isnt 50/50 but the right equillibrium is 65/35 or 70/30. I will set a simple example, a 100% good boy except their good heart lacks of other characteristics( lack of intelligence, immature, ultra sensitive, boring and other) and his life is hard, he is manipulated often and soon because of his excessive kindness sooner or later he will get tired of being mistreated and will become exactly the other side, extreme 100% evil, look at an anti-hero from movies how they end up in these situations. The right thing for me is 70% good, 30% bad. Probably being a good man with good intentions isnt aomething wrong but everything have limits. Remember the archangels and angels have weapons and fought the fallen, violence is something bad but when the enemy is coming in order to protect your life and your loved ones or your land etc, you should use their tools.

I don't understand the question. Every person has some form of morality, it's just different for everyone. Or are you implying there is some greater form of morality that is objectively correct?

Not to be too rude, since I'm trying to grasp how you phrased that, but by that do you mean that marketing and algorithms, by adjusting what's available to you to see in the first place, combined with pressure from the workplace which extols its safety and compliance culture adjusts morality in line with 'the herd' ala something like Pink Floyd or something?

As far as my morality, ahh. I don't particularly have some mold I'm trying to fit my conclusions about what's good in life to, but if I had to say, the heuristics I operate by are: being pathologically abstruse and defiant towards those who'd try to push their values onto me - whether Christians or corporations, I'd say I believe in 'free-range humans' ('One Flew Over the Cuckoo's Nest'), moderate asceticism, going out of my way to take a more difficult path even when an easier one is available, and repaying an eye-for-an-eye in the sense of both beneficence and maleficence. In brief, I suppose my moral ideal could be summarized as 'primeval human innocence'.

Kant's moral philosophy is the most straightforward and the categorial imperative is the most useful in day-to-day living.

Think of it as the Golden Rule on steroids.

I've not finished my way through Kant, I got into his 'Critique of Pure Reason' and found it too dense. I went back and read the Socratic Greeks a little while ago, so I'd probably be able to get through him now, but my most basic impression is that Kant's approach to philosophy is what I call 'intellectual obesity' where the sheer mass of logical propositions and references renders the piece essentially stillborn - as though human life and development could ever ascend by means of turning it so cold! Whether or not what he says is 'true' or 'false', terms whose tentativeness is enough to render them questionable as tools, I think that one's moral truth should be an organic outgrowth of one's circumstances and interior nature - if there is a larger truth to be found, it should suffice for future philologists to connect the dots between those who took what they had to the n-th degree.
