Anyone else having nostalgia for Famicom clones at the '90s? Even at the mid - late '90s they were quite popular in my country despite the popularity of Playstation 1, Nintendo 64 and PCs. For some reason even rich kids owned them instead of buying proper consoles. Personally I loved them for various reasons like these ones:
1) My parents never bought me an NES when I was younger. Therefore now I could enjoy NES classics at my own home and not only.
2) It was nice to see people keep appreciating retro games despite 3D games booming.

I used to own one that was like an N64 controller that got modded into a plug'n'play console. Unfortunately, the power supply short circuited so now it's just a brick, but I have an actual nes now I just need a flash cart with all the games.

It's funny, at the time I looked down on them as bootleg trash. As I own a real NES and real NES games.

Now in retrospect I honestly wish I'd dropped $20 ne one of the ones I saw at the fair or flea markets or whatever.
Just to be able to play around with those jank ass bootleg ROMs.

When I was really young my grandma bought me one at a flea market , that thing ruled. Introduced me to Kung-Fu on the NES which remains one of my all time favs from the console.

Still have my famiclone and a chinese cartridge with like 100 games. One thing I kinda like is that the colors from it are completely saturated compared to a real NES.
