I have always seen free will as a game of levels of awareness. Once you are aware of a control over your life you then have the free will to break that contorl. Whatever be the consequences.

There will always be higher controls and higher awarenessess but the pattern remains.

Thinning about it in a holistic sense of absolute free will or absolute determinism is itself a trap because you only uncovering more rules to the game.

Is it because you believe it will show you the future that can't be changed or because by seeing the future you can now change it?
