Gen-X Soft Club (Late '90s - Early 2000s)
Gen-X Soft Club was an extremely popular aesthetic from the turn of the millennium. A contradiction to the garishness of Y2K and McBling, this look was more natural, with normal looking people in more everyday styles. It was seen everyone, in both print and TV ads, music videos, and the fashion world. It was, as its name suggests, soft- it envokes a very dreamlike tone, with its blown out lighting and desaturated colors.
Ahhh... Gen-X Soft Club. One of my very, very favorite aesthetics. How much I love thee... How much I miss the--- what? The Zoomers get it??? The kids are alright.
