Been going to the gym ~every other day for past few months. I'm feeling quite comfortable with my legs&core, but I can't for the life of my make any noticeable gains in my arms and shoulders. Any recommendations for building arm muscle specifically? I feel like I'm doing a solid variety of exercises and I feel sore after work outs. idk, advice appreciated.
Make sure that you are getting enough protein each day, IIRC it's 1g protein per lb of bodyweight up to 200g total when trying to put on muscle.

What are you currently doing for arms? Are you working triceps and biceps? I would always prioritize triceps over biceps just because the biceps get worked so much with other workouts and triceps give the arms are more "fuller" look.

Skullcrushers, Tricep cable pulldowns, and good ol bicep curls specifically have helped me the most personally.
Rowing, bicep curls, Shoulder press, and chest press, are typically my favorites.

I'll definitely up my protein, I've been making protein smoothies, but I'll start to incorporate more protein-heavy meals.

Sounds like you're killing it with your leg and core workouts, but having trouble getting those guns to pop. I feel you - are gains can be tough to come by, but don't worry, there's hope!
First of all, make sure you're doing a variety of exercises that target all parts of your arms - biceps, triceps, and shoulders. It's also important to mix up your reps and sets, so you're not doing the same thing every time. You want to challenge your muscles and keep them guessing.
Another thing to consider is your diet. Are you getting enough protein? That's essential for building muscle. Also, take a look at quiet punching bags. They can help you build muscle faster and not disturb your neighbors at the same time.

I was recently sick, which took me out of the gym for 2 weeks. On my first day back, I almost passed out mid workout because of how fatigued I was. Not like "oh my muscles are tired, I'm not sure I can do another set" but it really felt as though my blood O2 levels were not high enough to be lifting. It was definitely an after effect of being sick but it made me realize I need to add in cardio to my routines. Thing is, I don't have access to a pool, I don't have the space to keep a bike in my place, and I absolutely hate running.

I've been thinking about doing jump rope sessions in the park down the street now that the weather is getting better, but if anyone can suggest some alternatives for cardio and conditioning, I'd be interested in hearing them.

Hard to beat biking, maybe a wall mount? Otherwise at least 30 minutes of walking a day is still some cardio, though hiking would be even better. I used to hate running too, but after hiking / biking for a while it was less of a big jump in exertion.

On weekdays I alternate one day I run 6-8 miles outside, regardless of weather. I do one day at the gym for arms and core. Weekends I might go to the gym if I feel like it, or I go hike 8-10 miles, during sunny days its nice because it'll give you a nice tan so everyone can tell you go outside.

I bike about 10 miles on most days. Sometimes I switch it out for a jog but I don't run consistently so it usually doesn't go as well as I hoped. I've been considering getting into lifting recently. I love cycling but also building more muscle seems practical/useful.

Good luck with the gains bros.

Hey guys! Hope everyone is doing well and working on those gains! Its almost summer here in America and just wanted to check in on everyone's progress! I've been doing a weight cut and have until mid july to go!

Here is a hypertrophy program that I used for my last bulk that I wanted to post here just to help out anyone wanting to go to the gym but not sure what to do there. This should take care of that! You can obviously change the days and your rest day, but its 6 days on, 1 rest day. You can change that if you'd like but I feel like this frequency has personally done me well~ Feel free to ask any questions or totally call me out if my shit sucks and you feel like it could improve :3

Hope everyone is doing well and working hard! When one of us lifts, all the agorabros are right behind you saying "one more rep"
We're all gonna make it bros.

Might as well start posting here. I've been going to the gym 2 days a week over the past couple of weeks.

Whats your guys' favorite lift?
I love OHP, just hit 1pl8 and its probably the only lift where I think "Damn im strong as fuck, i could really just drop this barbell on a person and shatter them in a feat of Herculean strength"
Other than that I'm just on the regular old grind of trying to do a little better consistently until I'm actually good at it.

I like doing barbell squats.

I'm late but shadowboxing is cool. Just do some warm up and start punching the air trying to do Devil May Cry combos.

You can do this whenever you get angry or frustrated and you can work a nice sweat. You can also compliment with throwing some shitty kicks. If you are visualizing hitting something it gets very entertaining, don't forget the Linkin Park angsty music.

Finally getting back into exercise after having to take a few months off due to health reasons. Considering I used to do an hour of gym 4 days a week, rock climbing for a year, then martial arts for another, I'm the type that feels like shit if I stand still. And for good reason. None of my Gis fit, most of my gym shorts don't either. It's really demoralizing to feel like I've slid back. Before I was fat but I could still do two good pull-ups, now I'm fatter and can't do any. At least I'm still human shaped.

I decided I'm sick of going to the gym for weightlifting. Either I go in the afternoon and have to fend off the hordes or wake up early and have to shower at the gym (ew). Plus I hate seeing peach pants and the music sucks. So I'm starting up a home gym routine with maces, clubs, and jump rope. Eventually going to get some kettlebells and install rings on a tree. The maces and jump rope are kicking my ass already so I have room to grow.

I also think I'm going to quit my MMA gym after giving it a few more months. I don't have good training partners where I'm at. Most of the gym is filled with dumb stoners, which I'm already not a fan of, but while I was gone the owner decided to lean into it and rename the place "Hot Box" and make these Pornhub logo shirts to advertise. It's really trashy. I'm all for doing what you want, but I'm sick of dealing with degeneracy in my fitness. To me it's about self-improvement. So maybe I'll get a punching bag and do youtube videos to improve.
