Sorry if I'm being dumb and this question has been discussed already but what are the new requirements for being able to create a post? Was looking to make a software discussion thread but I'm unable to.

Need to have 25 reaction score, its a new experiment that I'm testing out, so only people that have been on the road long enough can post genuine threads

So it's >25 reaction score + account needs to be above a certain age? Or are you saying that only accounts above a certain age would be likely to accumulate >25 score?

No if you make good posts and people "react" to it 25 times. Then you are allowed to make threads.

I think you just need to get a reaction score of 25, it can be added up from multiple posts with reacts. Similar to how the award system works.

I have a score of 42 and can't make a thread. I don't want to right now, but it would be nice to have the option. I do understand the change considering that thread.

Clearly, this can't be the case. Maybe it's score accumulated since the restriction was put in place?

Maybe, sometimes it takes a bit for the system to update too

I'll second Regal's sentiment in that I appreciate the willingness to experiment.

I will say though that other forums with react-minimums I've only seen apply towards certain sub-forums. If the minimum is too high of a gate for newbies, maybe just require the react-score to make threads within the Current Events sub-forum. Just an idea, @I-330 and I will do a radio show tomorrow on the recent agora lore and get user thoughts. I'll try to PM recently joined users and get their thoughts in addition to the agora regulars.
