How do you think Agora will end?

I am curious, what do you guys think will be the ultimate demise of this website? In my humble opinion, I think it will be caused by its prime demographic growing up and moving on as they get attuned to the signals of the current internet.

Most younger people don't like the Chan culture. I think most of us came from one of the chans and we can all see what a miserable state they're in. Recently I've experienced an influx of people who have seen Lain, but had such a fundamental misunderstanding of the show that they have more in common with Eiri Masami than Lain, despite how much they idolize her.

This is very interesting? What are the demographics of Agora? I think we more or less all get along and we've weeded out the bad apples. If anything, I sort of fear that everyone getting along will produce conformity and thus lack of innovation and thus the forums became stagnated and not going anywhere....

I'm not sure about the demographics exactly, but it's apparent that people have come here for different reasons. I think the stagnation could happen more because there isn't enough positive engagement due to the different things that people expect out of AR. In other words, it probably won't be people getting along as much as it could be people simply not having enough common interests, so they stop engaging

The ultimate endgame of being an agora user is to log off and enjoy the real world. Eventually all the quality posters will achieve this leaving just the people stuck online. But at least for me personally, I still learn a lot from the discussions here and won't be leaving for at least a little while still. And even if everyone good leaves, the posts left behind can be read by many internet refugees to come so that the knowledge of the road is passed down indefinitely.
