• I added an agora current events board to contain discussions of political and current events to that category. This was due to a increase support for a separate board for political talk.

I also feel this way often, but I realise it's because my life has become, in a way, peaceful. We spent most of our lives doing fuck all and we have no purpose for sure. I'm not even going to suggest finding a purpose because I don't think it's that necessary. Life is quite boring, but every once in a while it can be freeing. Sometimes I feel it as a negative but sometimes the sun is up and my coffee tastes better then usual and I feel alive. We are all kind of just here, nothing more- but I mean it in a positive way yk? Anyways I honestly fucking felt that and hope that tomorrow will feel a lil bit better :)

More money does not mean easier life.

Consider, for a moment, how much money Elon Musk spends just by going to sleep (e.g. all his employees, facilities and exposure to liability, lawyers on retainer).
Can you tell us, is Elon's dick salty?
He does have an easy life because he could drop all his work at any point and go live on an island for the rest of his life. He doesn't have to work anymore, unlike the rest of us who must work, he chooses to. The average office worker in China works as much if not more than he does.

I don't really know you, but depending on your age and your current situation right now, it's fine feeling like this I guess. The only thing that is wrong is to be static in one place, just go do something for the love of god, even if it fails you can look at yourself in the mirror and say you aren't lazy.
I don't know, go out to get some money, through a job or just offering some help for others in some service or whatever (I remember that in my teens I helped an uncle of mine at his job for some time, he works as an mechanic and engineer, I got some bucks, it wasn't much but it made me feel good with myself and my own work). Go study something, even if you don't like it at first, just ocupy your mind with something, specially if is useful for something or fascinating in some way. Maybe get a bit more spiritual, search about religions and faiths, the hard truth is that yes we aren't here just for nothing, we must move forward torwards something greater, if you don't belive in anything you aren't anything.
I know this sounds like some kind of sermon, but trust me, just don't just stay there lamenting, you got to do something with your life since no one is going to ever do it for you, and I'm not even telling you to "grind" and abandon your hobbies and passions to just work, you can keep them dearly for the rest of your life if you want, just be mature enough to balance things, then you'll start apreciating them even more for the simple fact you can still have fun with them.
Just remember this: An empty head is the devil's office, fill it with good things before it's too late. Good luck.

Does anyone else feel like they have nothing to offer to the world? I have a few talents and hobbies but none that will get me anywhere in life. I have somewhat come to terms with the fact that I will never be able to live a comfortable life with money and ease... but it still really gets me sometimes you know? I feel like I sort of just have no purpose. I'm just here, and that's it.
You have to make your own future. If you don't have any skills than you need to acquire some. Learn how to code, go to nursing school, sign up for a trade program and learn how to weld or become an electrician, get your CDL. Do SOMETHING. The only way you will have no future is if you sit around and do nothing. You recognize that you have a problem, that's the first step, now you need to move on to the second step which is doing something to fix the problem.

The important thing to recognize, is that it's just a feeling, the same as feeling melancholic, or empty, or sadness or anger. Once you recognize that, it's up to you whether you want to hold onto that feeling, or do something about it.

Like others have said, a very quick way to feel much better is to volunteer your time to a good cause. There's a lot of good causes that can always do with more hands on deck.

Also if you're young, which judging by how you've written posts in the forum in a very "young and hip" sort of way(no offense meant), this is an accurate feeling you'll have as a teenager or young adult, because in truth, the vast majority of them do have nothing to offer the world currently. This is why they should be spending time learning about the world, learning about what interests them and sharpening their skills. An apple tree that is only a sapling doesn't provide any fruit, and looks like it has nothing to offer the world, but give it some time and love and it'll give much more to the world.

Also about money and a comfortable life, sure it offers security, but if it's your only goal, once you achieve it, you'll be happy for like half a year(because people can adapt very quickly to these sorts of comforts) and then your life will be as empty and meaningless as before.
