Most future funk is pretty easily digestible. I'd recommend Hit Vibes, Miami Virtual 2.0, and GALLERY by .nebula. We can go weirder from there.

If they're more open-minded, we could start with Eco Virtual, selected Cat Sys Corp. albums, or maybe some Luxury Elite.

i'd start with hit vibes or a million miles away. then its straight into weird shit, liberated from the world and signalwave that samples porn exclusively.

What songs/albums/artists would you recommend them as a starting point? Or another way of putting it: what is the least weird most accessible Vaporwave you can think of?

I tend to recommend 3D BLAST's "Iconic Bitch", Dan Mason's "Miami Virtual 2.0" and 猫 シ Corp's "Palm Mall".

The easiest way in my opinion is to just dive head first into the music and get used to the weird shit.
Honestly I agree with you on that. There's some good stuff somebody might miss out on because they think it's a bit too weird.

This is the best introductory Vaporwave mix:

Everybody can enjoy it and it makes most people understand what Vaporwave is all about at the first try. It has a pretty nice selection of great tracks and the aesthetics are on point. What else would you need?

Really wish Dream was still putting out stuff like these:

These too, though they're more future funk, with the exception of chris†††:
