This sounds like fun, and I'd suggest putting together an Agora Road pen pal club if there was a way to participate without doxxing myself.
Can you send from a PO box? Because you can send to a PO box.

Can you send from a PO box?
I did some research and it does look like USPS will accept a P.O. box as a return address. Renting a small one isn't too expensive either, at least where I live.
I might make a separate thread about this if enough people are interested.

That's pretty chill. Working on your penmanship?
I'll have to, my handwriting's all chickenscratch. The Palmer Method seems like a decent way to re-train my handwriting until I can learn actual caligraphy.
My wife does classical writing with fountain pens and we even have a family wax seal for all our mail! Started with using it on our wedding invites. Feel free to hit me up if you ever want to chat about that kinda stuff!
Thanks, I'll keep you in mind! Totally new to it, still putting together a shopping list for the basics.

That's what I was planning on doing: setting up a P.O. box and sending everything through that. If something's too big for it, I believe they just hold onto it at the post office desk until you claim it. A pen pal group would be cool, I'd join up!

Hello! I'm very glad to be here, I've been scouring the web to find places that share my love for vaporwave and all the feelings and thoughts it encompasses.

What cancelled sitcom best describes your life?

Hard to say! I rarely watch TV, let alone sitcoms, but if I had to pick, I would probably go with M*A*S*H, mainly because I love it so much. My first exposure to it was from my sixth grade teacher playing it on the school television every Friday afternoon after we would finish our work, and I fell in love with how it seemed to constantly teeter between random hijinks and depression. It sparked my interest in the Korean War, and ultimately my interest in military stories and history. I'm definitely not comparing my life to the Korean War, but I had to pick something.

What does vaporwave mean to you?
I started listening to vaporwave right around the time Floral Shoppe hit its stride, I'll admit I hopped onto the bandwagon, but I could never let it go like everyone else seemed to. I loved the avenues to new music that opened up from everyone sampling the most obscure recordings or songs, and I just loved the visuals that accompanied them, kinda like puppeting the remains of something long gone, that's what really stuck with me. I played Broken Reality basically when it came out, and that pretty much cemented vaporwave as one of my favourite artistic movements, I finished that game in the middle of the night alone in my dorm room, and I couldn't stop thinking about it for days. Ultimately, I guess vaporwave is just another one of the things that I like, but it's stuck with me for a while, and I respect it a lot for that.

What subgenres are you most into?
I love mallsoft! I guess I don't really need to explain why, much smarter people have most likely done that much better than I ever could, but I mainly just love the feeling of listening to the sounds of consumerism! Plus, I miss hanging out at malls.

How did you find out about this place?
I just so happened to stumble across a thread on here while researching something, pure luck! I'm very glad I did.

What do you do for fun?
I like to make maps!! Sometimes for work, sometimes for fun. I love making tunes, and listening to them, and I love rambling endlessly about things that probably don't matter to anyone other than me. I also love writing short stories, so I'd really appreciate being able to discuss writing with others.

Was it the Dead Internet Theory or something else?
I was looking up a certain individual, and they happened to be mentioned in a thread on here. I've heard of the theory before, though! I saw an interesting video about someone who was phishing for shill IPs, and kept getting instant responses that you would only get from a bot, but the messages themselves were seemingly organic, more so than you would expect from a bot. I think the theory has some truths to it, but at the end of the day I'm just here for cool art and interesting people.

Hello, I'm new here!

I love death's dynamic shroud. I'm a bit reluctant about new music but vaporwave never disappointed me.

I first came here with Dead Internet Theory, didn't set up an acc till quite a bit later -hours ago. I've been a lurker, though. Especially the paranormal and current events thread.

I study history, one of the things I take pride in. I am a plant dad, too. I write in my free time, whether it be fiction or academic research!

Great to be here.

Who u peakin at youngman?
There was a guy who went by the name VEDIC_CYBERGOD on Twitter, you can probably find some posts on what kind of stuff he did, but he basically did nothing but endlessly shitpost about ariosophy and co-founded this weird movement called "kali acc," which means kali yuga accelerationism. I was trying to find out where he went, since he's been banned a couple of times.

What subgenres are you most into?
City pop, new wave, actually just 80's pop in general, and I'm getting into 70's-80's glam metal right now.

I'd known about it for months through neocities but never really knew how based it was until now lmao.

Listen to music.

First of all, thank you for welcoming me into your community. I've known of this place for about a year but just never got around to making an account. I always liked lurking here because it truly does remind me of the late 90s/early 00s internet that I grew up on.

Hey all, i'm FLAKE!

>What cancelled sitcom best describes your life?
Probably Seinfeld, because I have a small group of great friends who are funny af, and they're all as weird and unique as it gets, going about life in their own unique ways...

>What does Vaporwave mean to you?
Great tunes, nostalgia with a futuristic twist. Great combo. Love it.

>What subgenres are you most into?
Broken Transmission and anthing that most people deem to be "unlistentable"... and dds.

>How did you find out about this place?
Googled: Vaporwave Forum. That was all.

>What do you do for fun?
I program a weekly vaporwave radio show on ghost-town-radio.de, it's called Flake's Vapelife. I don't have a tonne of listeners but I thought maybe I should try and meet some people, you know... IN THE VAPORWAVE COMMUNITY who might be interested (!??). Each episode is an hour long mix of between 22 - 28 Vaporwave and vape-influenced tracks, spanning a massive variety of genres from within the Vaporwave realm. Everything from Mallsoft to Vapornoise, Hard Vapor to Future Funk, Ecco Jams and everything in between. It's a real mish mash every time, and a whole lot of fun!

I have also created a 6 part Vaporwave talk show/serial/podcast called Hotline 1800-VAPOR, which is about a girl who phones a Vaporwave hotline, seeking adivce and chats about Vaporwave. She makes a great friend on the other end of the line... Each episode took me around 20 hours to produce, and they are very dear to my heart. Topics covered range from Dolphins to Chess, from Roman Busts through to Conke & Bepis and there is a tonne of great music between segments.

You can listen to both Flake's Vapelife and Hotline 1800-VAPOR at

If you listen to 1800-VAPOR start from episode 1. If you listen to Vapelife, you can start with any episode. :) Feel free to send me any feedback! I'd love to hear your thoughts about the shows i am so very passionate about!

Thanks so much for welcoming me to this funky forum - I look forward to taking part here more in future!

Hey everyone, been lurking for about 3 months, decided to make an account so I could actually respond to some of the more interesting threads.

I started looking for forums after being constantly negatively affected by social media, and I heard about this one through a youtube clickbait video on dead internet theory.

I ended up lurking on about 5 different boards on different forums, most of them were either dead or uninteresting. After hanging around here for a while, I noticed lots and lots of really interesting threads, so I decided to join.

I am really into ambient electronic music, but vaporwave specifically doesn't mean as much to me as it probably does to a lot of other people here. I'm here for the forum, not the vaporwave. It's decent and interesting to listen to, I just don't follow it rigorously.

Hi everyone
I've been listening to vaporwave since 2017. My favorite genres are slushwave, dreampunk, and the first-phase Dream Cat stuff (Fragmented Memories is probably my favorite). I was inspired by Kidmograph's Birth of a New Day cover to take up photography and I've been doing that as a hobby for a couple years now. My style has been described as "hyperrealism" and my photos have been used in Private Suite magazine (in their Telepath feature from Dec 2019) and in two issues of Evolve magazine from earlier this year. Seek me out on Insta (same nick). Happy to exchange follows.

Howdy everybody my username is Starscourge Chadahn (because I just think he's neat) but my actual nickname is Goodnight. Nice to be here with an account after lurking for a good while.

What cancelled sitcom best describes your life?
I didn't really watch sitcoms except for maybe Seinfeld for background noise when I still paid for cable television so let's just say that for sake of filling out this question, hopefully our teacher will understand.

What does Vaporwave mean to you?
It's a very comforting feeling to me. Like a nice bowl of hot chicken noodle soup on a early winter morning when school is closed due to snow. It's one of the few forms of music that I can let myself drift away into space while listening to.

What subgenres are you most into?
Future Funk mainly due to my partner @I chew cables but other than that nothing I can really name. I love any type when it comes down to it as long as the sound hits me right tbh.

How did you find out about this place?
Disillusion was recommended to me on Steam and I went "Man this is my type of strange inject this shit into my veins " and I think I seen some link to the site on the store page or Steam forums I believe.

What do you do for fun?
Vidya, working out, and listening to my music. I'm pretty lame.

What cancelled sitcom best describes your life?

I don't really watch sitcoms, so I don't know. There is probably one about an emoish girl who is always angry with people even though they are nice to her. So that one lol

What does Vaporwave mean to you?

Something that makes me feel melancholic towards the world but somehow hopeful and understood as well. Like something is missing in my life. Idk it's hard to describe

What subgenres are you most into?

Synthwave. I also like Dark ambientish vaporwave. I don't know much about subgenres

How did you find out about this place?

To be honest, I don't really know. I think I just fell down an internet rabbit hole while reading about schizoanalysis and found this place. I liked it so I got registered

What do you do for fun?

Mostly watch tv series, watch youtube videos about a lot of different stuff and browse the internet. I'm picking up on making jewelry with resin rn as well

Also, most of you were born like, in the 80s or 90s and here I am, a full on zoomer born in 2001. I feel a bit out of place here, but this forum is cool :)
