Tonight we will be having a DOUBLE FEATURE of HACKERS and ANTITRUST! 90s tech thriller night!!
it will also start an HOUR EARLIER!! Antitrust should start at around 12:50 AM UTC, Hackers at 11:00 PM UTC!

Frankly, I think it is perfectly weird, albeit, of course, I'm not sure if it fits vaporwave or Agore anyhow. Heck, I'm still not sure what the fuck Agora is about.
Still, this animation is top of the line cool, and it would be nice knowing it was shown to multiple people. I would, like, feel that my mission is complete or something. Wave Twisters rule.

Re-watched antitrust with some non tech people to get a dif opinon on it. They thought it was shit because the acting its bad and they don't care for the woo.

On antitrust.

The narrative of corporate espionage and ethical compromise in the digital age its more akin to the late 90s corp .com bubble struggle from a previously hobbyist / business oriented demographic of the online landscape to the more modern corporate. It has a 85-87 cyberpunk vibe due to the whole corporate wars scenario with the random guy on a start up getting caught up on the big business silicon valley stye landscape and corporate dealings. Its a good idea but a bad movie, the pacing its pretty bad and the romantic subplot its borderline algorithmically generated, which might've or might've not been on purpose, also it makes no sense for them to kill people when its open source to begin with.

One thing i like It doesn't try to sell the culture of silicon valley as a cool edgy thing for you to play dress up as, it jut present it as is, if anything the people who are the hobbyist are just nerds losers instead of korn juggalo fans and the not hobbyists are evul yuppie man which creates a good distinction between those who make and do things and those who buy and sell things, And how those who buy and sell don't really care about the culture or the people, they only see the green. Strip club scene its more accurate than you would think to be true

The movie got really bad wooden mannequin acting sometimes, soundtrack its ok.

thanks for doing this @Mew I wanted to partake on the agora book club but books are a heavy commitment and i already have my backlog, and nowadays most of my reading its done in the shitter. This I can shell out an hour or 2 to prose over.

This is a very trippy movie representing two of the most prominent sensations of the 60s: The Beatles and LSD. it's very hard to describe other than a really awesome acid trip. psychedelics are definitely encouraged for this one. there's not much to say other than come watch it!

Any specific reason, or just because he was insufferably smug? You might feel reassured that towards the end of his life he was kicked quite heavily and concentratedly in the back with several bullets.

I've always despised the song Imagine, even before that stupid celebrity sing-along during the COVID lockdowns. The same goes for Across the Universe and Strawberry Fields Forever to a lesser extent. They're all so vapid and nihilistic. Lennon himself also comes across as a self-absorbed asshole.

Ironically this was why he got shot. Mark David Chapman said he was a phony for singing imagine while he surrounded himself with material goods. The final straw was when he said the Beatles were bigger than Jesus. (I didn't know this until today, when I went on a wiki binge).

if there are no strong opinions, i will be choosing from my selection of movies, from which my main contenders are Spirited Away and Fear and Loathing in Las Vegas, though i'm leaning towards fear and loathing due to its undertones of the shattered american dream perfect for the weekend before July 4.

Seeing as though i am not @I-330, it is unlikely i will be able to build a fancy website to surround the movie in less than a day, however i was able to set up RTMP in a few hours, so that will be hosted at

if @h00 appears, what kbps were you at in OBS? i guarantee my bandwidth less than yours but maybe i'll be encouraged to not mutilate the movie over the internet if i hear a bigger number than 1k. let me know your thoughts on configuration.
