Plan 9 from Outer Space (1959)
The Relic (1997)
The Perks of Being a Wallflower (2012)

Goodfellas (1990)
Escape from L.A. (1996)
Meet Joe Black (1998)

Yesterday my bluray-Drive came in the Mail and I started ripping "the VVitch" it as it came in the same package.

I'm using MakeMKV to do that. But now that I started ripping the files, I wonder how I will select the languages later on

because I didn't have any options but to just rip the files and decrypt.
Either way, it will take a long time to digitize my whole collection but I will start with the good ones. For a Halloween themed movie night I propose these out of my collection (just a sample):

Terrifier 1 + 2 (trashy slasher but with many good practical effects)
1727848868746.png

Hellraiser Trilogy (although I heard you guys watched that recently)
1727848880297.png

Under the Skin (don't want to spoil too much here, but it's eerie, has the best goddamn soundtrack ever and was created in a special way)
1727848903560.png

Incident in a Ghotland (just a normal horror movie)
1727848920920.png

Suspiria (The 2018 remake, probably one of my fav horror movies)
1727848843167.png

Videodrome (From 1983, a little cheesy but worth experiencing, certainly an odd film)
1727848946604.png

The Void (lovecraftian horror)
1727848825565.png

MAD GOD (100% stop motion philosophical + body horror)

I have Mad God, but I need a group to watch it with to keep my attention from drifting.

I also have they/them which is meant to be a comedy transgender parody slasher film. I don't know anything else about it.

@Andy Kaufman sick that you're ripping your disks. Honestly with how fragile digital storage is, I'd just keep them all on disk and buy a slot case folder to reduce their footprint.

Under the Skin is an excellent film. The soundtrack stays with you for weeks, months and years. Johansen kills it. The original story it's based on is batshit insane and arguably ruins the narrative of the film if you take it as canon.

@Enrofflesss thanks for the reminder. I need to add this to my library.

Attack the Block (2011) - this thing is truly excellent, aliens come to attack the mandems and everything escalates.

With so many recommendations, how do we even decide on anything? just have a vote or what?
@Punp I will keep the Discs, but having them also on my PC is convenient. The process of ripping is slow though. I'm currently on the 9th film and there's much more to come. I don't even know how many I have but it's gotta be a 100 discs if we count those in collecitons such as LOTR extended and such.
IDK if I even have enough Disk space but I take every excuse to buy bigger and more harddrives.

The benefits of a benevolent dictator. The streamer gets to decide like a DJ. Don't over think it.

480p is so underrated. It's a perfectly fine format to watch shows.

Are movie nights still going? Which day is it on?
EU timezone stream is 6pm UTC. Venue changes so you need to check the thread for announcements.

who decides who that is?
Technically the person who organises it, enforced by those who turn up to it. HandOfEris has the Saturday EU slot and I'm her backup if her stream fails or she can't make it.

You could resume the US slot on Sunday at 12am UTC while Mew and Umbreon are out, if you want to.
