You can now donate directly to the forum without signing up for patreon. You will still have all of the same perks in patreon but its now one less sign up method. It will be under Account Upgrades
Yes it is good. I have one but it's collecting dust as it doesn't really fit my personal use case that much. I have a PC, for gaming on the go I have a PSVita, and both satisfy most of what a steam deck could give me. The main thing a Deck would be useful for, is PC gaming while away on holiday or travelling(which admittedly I don't do loads of)
