I know they say nostalgia works in periods of 20 years, so we're coming up on a massive revival of this aesthetic, but people who were BORN around the advent of these trends are embracing them now.

There's a weird trend these days where people film deliberately low-resolution vlogs and act like it's 2008. Two YouTube channels that participate in this nostalgia trend are Cooper2723 and Brahkie, I recommend Brahkie more because her comedic potential is off the charts, but Coop is also pretty good.





If you're big into the late 2000s or early 2010s pop sound, I would recommend checking out Bonnie McKee's discography, she was a songwriter back in the day and wrote a lot of Katy Perry's Teenage Dream-era stuff, and was barely given any credit. She's still putting out music today with the same type look and feel. This is my favorite song of hers, off her debut album "Trouble":
