Been working on a new project that falls somewhere between ecco-jams, broken transmission and hypnagogic drift. The cool thing is that all the tracks are improvised and recorded live by manipulating the parameters of physical effect pedals being fed a single short sample, check it out and let me know what you think!

Also for anybody interested, I uploaded a video to youtube to demonstrate the process I used to actually make the songs; https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=CG-PLlOP5aM

I have one track on my new multi-genre album that could loosely be considered vaporwave:

Whew, I've been on a rampage with cranking this stuff out! Just like the album uploaded earlier this week all the tracks are each improvised from a single sample and recorded from an old guitar amp, no post production beyond some quick mastering on tracks where the bass was a little too heavy.

HTML:
<iframe style="border: 0; width: 350px; height: 687px;" src="https://bandcamp.com/EmbeddedPlayer/album=4252691876/size=large/bgcol=333333/linkcol=9a64ff/transparent=true/" seamless><a href="http://sleepyvapor.bandcamp.com/album/something-to-pass-the-time">something to pass the time by S L e e P y</a></iframe>

As a quick footnote; the flowing nature of ambient vapor really benefits from seamless transitions between the tracks, so if you like what you hear I highly recommend listening to video of the full album that I'll post below. That sensation of drifting aimlessly through the sounds is one of the biggest reasons I'm enjoying the genre so much!

So I made a few tweaks to my set-up yet again, most notably switching from a smartphone to a pre-amp into the computer as the means of recording. That gave the tracks much cleaner audio, which fueled another creative rampage for the evening. Same thing as before, all of these are recorded and improvised from a single sample each, but this time the whole thing was done start to finish in just over three hours! Let me know what you guys think;
