I don't know much about this artist but most of their stuff is chiptune screamo, really weird sounding stuff. But this is the last track on one of their albums and I think its beautiful, very melancholic.

Dodeco, a Brazilian DJ whose niche is mixing music from videogames. He knows A LOT about composers for videya and shares all sorts of funfacts in the subtitles of his mixes. Really astounding guy. He recently started to make his own original tracks. Some of the best DnB I've heard this year.

Check him out!

You could spend hours searching lists of old Vocaloid songs that were uploaded to NicoNico and find some really neat stuff. It seems like a ton of perfectly good tracks got left in the dust because of how rapidly the scene was growing (?) I can't act like I know all the ins and outs of it, though.

Here are a few obscure favorites:

And if you want look for some older Vocaloid songs yourself, here's a collection uploaded to archive dot org that's very fun to dig through:

There are similar collections uploaded for years 2008-2012 by the same user, as well.

Casper Fandango & The Knees – Consumer

A pretty darn good little tape, I like it. I got it from a Jason NeSmith, he ran a band called Casper & The Cookies, from Athens, GA (Check out his work, it's pretty neat!). I started to get really obsessed with his early work and messaged him about this tape, so he sent me a personal reproduction of it since he ran out of the originals probably decades ago. It's really weird but pretty good.

Casper Fandango & His Tiny Sick Tears - How's Your Hand?

Another good one. This version was the original cassette tracklisting, apparently. There's a 2000 CD pressing of this that has tracks from the above tape instead. https://cfahtst.bandcamp.com/album/hows-your-hand-bionic-edition-2020

The Shut-Ups- Imaginary Dancer

I actually really, really, really like this one. I think it's a damn good record. It's sort of in the style of some 70s and 80s music but it takes on a more sardonic tone. Consequently, Jason NeSmith (Casper) produced this one as well, as he's also an engineer.

Finally, a bit of a weird one. Eminem had a childhood friend named James Deel, who also went by Chaos Kid. They broke contact at some point and Chaos Kid later became pretty distraught over this and killed himself in 2011. He produced some neat acoustic demos that I took from another YouTube channel and tried to clean up the quality a bit from.
