About 2 years ago or so, I came across some listings on Amazon that I can no longer find. They looked like regular Nintendo 64 game cartridges, however none of these games appeared to be authentic titles that I had ever seen before. For context, I am in my mid-twenties and I grew up playing the crap outta my Nintendo 64 at grandma's house as a kid. I played Zelda Ocarina of Time (as one does), but we also had a boatload of other titles in a big cardboard box we used to keep underneath her dresser in a drawer.
All this to say that I'm definitely not uninformed on what games were released for this console, I played a great majority of them. So you can probably imagine my surprise when I see a new Pokémon or a new Zelda title... It was like a fever dream. Now, I clearly am aware that none of these "new titles" are actually produced and sold by Nintendo, nor were they ever. However, growing up hearing creepy pasta stories such as "ben drowned", the thought of getting a spooky or new type of cartridge into my 64 has allured me. Some of these games seem to be so big that a development team must have helped to produce them. Pretty cool and mysterious to me.

Anyways, my question for you all: Have you tried any of these fake cartridges, did they work, and did you have any fun with them? I love physical media, so if I were to play them I would want the real thing, not a ROM
