Hey everyone, here's the producer's thread for October where you can post what you've been working on and give feedback on other people's work.

8) Producers of any experience level are welcome to post their tracks here.

8) If you post a track, it's highly recommended that you take the time to comment on someone (anyone) else's track in the thread. We want this community to thrive.

8) Praise and/or constructive criticism are what we're aiming for. We have no tolerance for toxicity or unwarranted negativity

Hi everyone!

Decided to try and be active here, and I'm excited to hopefully see some cool new stuff from other producers in the forum too. I'll try and comment on as much as I can in the next couple days, so let's have it!

I'll start: Here's a compact track I made based on the new Dirty Loops single "Next to You":
https://clyp.it/yps1lrjc

I don't usually make short things, much less from new music, so this was a nice change of pace~ Happy to hear what other people think!

I like the vibe of this, especially when you slow down the breakbeat toward the end. Cool sample, sustained vocals have a neat sound when they're slowed down.

I just released an album a few days ago, called [midnight channel surfing vol 3].
It's sort of a mixture of late night lo-fi, hypnagogic drift and broken transmission; and it's also my first album ever.
The general idea was about something that could sound nostalgic, purposely repetitive, but somehow relaxing (in an eerie way) :]

This has a really nice classic vibe! And the loops are clean, too. Reminds me of the g h o s t i n g release Telenights. Nice job~

Thanks a lot for the feedback, glad you like it! (I love Telenights)
I also released an EP this weekend, called '空虚に陥る'.
Not exactly 100% vaporwave tho, it's more like a mix of jazz fusion + early 90's techno (but definitely vaporwave influenced):

If any of your are into telepath's more ambient work or are making slush/soundscapes yourselves, I'd love to know what you think about this project I'm working on:
https://clyp.it/0gymnc5n?token=e482250a88074ed36c0e508fb10fbb29 (sorry, don't think I can embed from clyp and I'm not ready to release this yet)
I'm trying to capture some of the feel of 2814 with this- the plan is to flesh it out and extend it to ~37 mins, gradually adding synths and drums to the mix and becoming more active until toward the end, where it'll mellow out again. Weird as it seems on the surface, I also got some inspiration from Macross 82-99's "水TEMPLES" from SAILORWAVE. If anybody has any thoughts about how the mix sounds or where you could see this heading as it develops, let me know!

Ursula's Cartridges - Jouluaalto ☃ is an album in which he sampled some Finnish Xmas songs. This is very cool concept and it's soon Christmas time :D We will also release it on cassette for the very first time this Xmas!

I am currently learning German too, and man the hardest thing about that language is the grammar and word order

I've seen their writing and damn, thats a complete different way than spanish.

I am learning chinese and japanese (I know weird combination) and they love to overcomplicate their language by using the same symbols with diferrent meanings

  • Phosphorescence:
Also, it's getting late where I am, but I recommend if you are interested in poetry, try (in lovely Spanish of course) Pablo Neruda, Federico Garcia Lorca, Octavio Paz, and if you really want to see how far a poet can twist a language, try Cesar Vallejo, he's my favorite poet of all time

  • (Guest) waterfall:
Oh I've read pablo neruda he is really good

Woah, you are brave but wise to learn those languages, imo China will become much more influential in global politics!

Yeah but tbh I prefer japanese 100x times, their way of speaking, their culture, and overrall their traditions are a direct magnet for my attention, I do like what I can get a hang on with japanese though.

Japanese culture AND literature is so amazing. Chinese culture is just so different, and VERY OLD (in a good way)

  • Phosphorescence:
I'd like to be fluent in Japanese so I could one day read Yukio Mishima in his original

Anyways, I gotta go. I wish you luck on your language learning and with the poetry too! Make an account if you like this site too, I really like the vibes here =)

Totally! What I love is the value they give to honor, harakiri for example is what I consider to be a honorable death
