Not only do I feel that acting like an animal is a symptom of poor socialisation and integration, but I think that doing so only serves to increase that isolation. Being able to project human behaviors onto animals does not make them human any more than using those projections to decide your own behavior makes you an animal. Just because there are other people with flu symptoms does not make flu symptoms indicative of a healthy human baseline experience.

I hope you find comfort in acting like a cat in your own time and that you eventually find the friendship group that you need who will make you feel (and understand what it is to be) human.

All the "validation" you get is two-faced and half-hearted. Behind your back people mock you. Your parents are disgusted and ashamed of you, your "friends" laugh at your crude fursuit behind closed doors.

Normies are utterly repulsed by you. Thousands of years of evolution have allowed humans to sniff out freaks with incredible efficiency. Even furfags who buy those expensive biofur suits look uncanny and unnatural to a mentally sound human being. Your fursona is a dead giveaway. And even if you manage to get a drunk guy home with you, he'll turn around and bolt the second he gets a whiff of your stained, overused tail buttplug.

You will never be happy. You wrench out a fake smile every single morning and tell yourself it's going to be ok, but deep inside you feel the depression creeping up like a weed, ready to crush you under the unbearable weight.
Eventually it'll be too much to bear - you'll buy a rope, tie a noose, put it around your neck, and plunge into the cold abyss. Your parents will find you, heartbroken but relieved that they no longer have to live with the unbearable shame and disappointment. They'll bury you with a headstone marked with your real name, and every passerby for the rest of eternity will know a human is buried there. Your body will decay and go back to the dust, and all that will remain of your legacy is a skeleton that is unmistakably human.

This is your fate. This is what you chose. There is no turning back.

While I appreciate a good internet bullying copypasta as much as the next user, and recognise the source material, I think it's commendable that @Pink Fluffy Cat was brave enough to post about the topic. While I do not condone their lifestyle choice, it's based that they talked about it, and I can like them for their other qualities.

Encouraging suicide and telling people there is no way out of their lifestyle choice, even in jokey repurposed copypasta, is not fruitful or nice.

"It's not beastiality your honor I identify as a cat". If you actually think you're a cat get yourself checked it's pure mental illness. Cognac is right it's hilarious that people are cheering this one for being unapologetic when it's literally promoting retardation. There's a difference between being authentic and being a degenerate retard.

All I'm saying is that if there was a gun put to any otherkin's head they'd drop the animal act real quick. An identity that doesn't pass that test isn't a real identity. This charade is inauthentic and degenerate.

I imagine a lot of people's identities come under question when faced with a choice between life and death. Most of these are confused teenagers trying to find out who they are. There's no use trying to punish them for it without offering them the alternative to be accepted for who they are. That said, choosing to be a furry in spite of knowing that people think it's degenerate is choosing to not cure a mental illness.

Nobody has ever lied when a gun was put to their head before.

I'm a nekogender person, but I don't really have specific pronunciation. I don't really roleplay neither outside shitposting as my kin-ness is more a personal thing. I'm not a part of the community currently for the exactly same reason, for me otherkin is more of a lifestyle than an identity or socializing factors.

is this a joke or are you actually being serious with this being your first forum thread

I'm a frog because I like jumping, ponds and ribbiting.

Ever since I saw pepe back in 2009, I felt a deep connection to the frog.
I mean, I personally would consider myself to be a Hercules beetle, as I am strong or strong-adjacent.
After all, the Hercules beetle is the strongest among all insects.

Do you want to know why the Hercules beetle is the strongest insect?
In this world we inhabit, there exists such a being as one, no more than pulsing and flailing, the mass of flesh and slime.
Weak.
Defenseless.
Crushable.

beetle_600.gif

Despite that, it survives.
It survives, it 戦うs, and then it thrives.
What was once so meager becomes the strongest.
It becomes 最強.
Behold, the ultimate lifeform!

the_saikyou.jpg

What does the strongest being do with this power?
To a fool, who possesses it not, they imagine that the strongest would use that ability to kill and dominate.
But no, the ultimate lifeform does not destroy!
It surpasses even the food chain, and, even though it is the strongest, never uses its power to prey upon those weaker than it!
For you see, the Hercules beetle feasts upon dead wood, and is not an active predator.
That is why the Hercules beetle is the strongest insect.
Not physically, but mentally and spiritually, for, with its strength, it has the self-control necessary to respect the weak, just as it itself once was!

Early otherkin were just "weird", an open-source new religious movement:

It's been many many years since I've last paid attention to them but given the last decade of the internet I doubt things have evolved in a healthy direction.

I get this 'phantom limb' feeling too, though I feel like it's insulting to amputees to make such a comparison, on my part and on part of these weirdos. I often imagine the sensations of having two extra arms, of having breasts and a vagina, of having missing teeth, that sort of thing. All it is, is an extension of the imagination, just as we 'see' images in our heads and 'hear' sounds within them, we are reasonably able to 'feel' physical sensations. This is not an abnormal experience I imagine but one everyone has, and just doesn't think much about.
Also...
this has to do with chakras and the astral plane
I'm not gonna pretend to be an expert on esoteric concepts, but wouldn't it be the etheric plane that would be relevant here? And since when did spirits reflect physical form?

If someone put a gun to my head, and said "act like a cat or I'll shoot you" I'd drop the human act real quick. Anyone who wouldn't has suicidal tendencies, and should see a therapist.

What a garbage argument.
