I'd like to start out this thread by showing one of my favorite prank calls that just so happens to be the reason a man became a felon.

I love Roy and PLA and even subscribed to his Patreon for a little while. Crazy that he makes over $4k a month just doing prank phone calls. After doing this prank call Safeway actually pressed charges against him for impersonating one of their employees.

I noticed after he became a felon that he doesn't go nearly as edgy or as hard in his pranks than he used to. For that reason, I mostly enjoy some of his older stuff.

My other favorite that he does is called Reasonable Sanity Podcast. In this format, he and his prank calling partners in crime create a fake podcast complete with fake, over-the-top commercials to prank unsuspecting guests. They usually invite on aspiring writers or conspiracy theorists and have callers call in and ask them ridiculous questions. It's kind of fun to see how long it takes before the guest realizes it's a joke; if they ever do.

Also, I really love the in jokes in the PLA community (Mildred Monday), and the crazy whacky songs some of the listeners make using old prank reaction lines.

Brade is essentially living my dream of being a professional troll. I had no idea about that podcast series, definitely need to check that out. If I recall he had another series recalling the old days of phone phreaking, playing the recorded calls and narrating it in-between like a story, pretty neat stuff. (Welcome to the forum btw)

I just recently got into their "Calls of Mass Confusion" series and it's hilarious stuff. The channel does a combination of filming call victims live, hosting fake zoom job interviews, and create fake podcasts to lure guest speakers on to mess with.

I've read The Phone Losers of America book. It's hilarious. Brad also still advertises in 2600's Classifieds section with numbers that you yourself can call into if you want to experience things like arguing with an old lady who has had enough of your shit

He's a true menace out to have as much fun as possible screwing with everyone. I'm glad I'm in his audience and not in his crosshair

RBCP calls stuck up HOAs and assholes too, often with things so ridiculously insane it's purely on them for believing Brad.
There's plenty of "ethical" prank calls towards scammers as well, every second these guys waste on their bullshit is legitimately a public service keeping the Kolkata scammers from dialing gullible elderly people, I particularly enjoy the soundboard ones

Just about finished reading the PLA book, made me respect Brad more for what all he went he went through. He's like the hilarious incarnate of Kevin Mitnick in terms of modern tech craftiness. Love this crazy mother fucker's antics. His book is a pretty fun read, binged it in a day, and I admittedly (initially) pirated his book, but I'll be adding it to my collection next paycheck.

I've seen some videos of prank calls towards scammers, it's sometimes interesting because the scammer is usually some indian guy working in a call center with a hundred other people and you can hear them talking in their native tongues on the other end to their supervisors after the guy they were hoping to scam bricks their laptop with WannaCry or something. However I still tend not to like those videos much because the guys doing those sorts of pranks often have an insufferably self-righteous air to them, and there's always a cruelty to their voices I just don't like.
