As a weeb myself, this is a hard question, because there are so many weeb shit i've consumed that is almost as hard as choosing my favorite song, but here are some weeb things i've enjoyed recently

Valkyria chronicles is a really underrated game, this masterpiece is one of my favorite sony exclusives and one of my favorite strategy games ever.

And i'm thinking on playing Evenicle, because it actually seems kinda nice.

I love this song, it made me recently love Seiga (in a kinda ironical way because of how cursed the character is, like, only Zun is the only one able to make a necrophilic character cute.)

I've also been seeing Speed Racer (for shits and gigles), Baki and Devilman Crybaby on netflix, those animes are top notch really, i love the aesthetics of devilman tho.

I also thinking of watching Demon Slayer because it is quite popular in my college and us gen z zoomers, and it would be cool to have something the average normie could relate.

I also started to read my favorite's anime manga, Akira, and oh boy, it is something, it is as good as the movie.

Also, i have a weeb take: Kenan and Kel is an anime, and you can't change my mind

Aye, yo I've played a little bit of Valkyria chronicles during peak Covid (because my bro wanted me to play it), and I really enjoyed the parts I played, I didn't really expect it to be as good as it was, I'm hoping to play it again, once I get my PS hooked up again (since I moved a little bit ago). The Persona 4 OST slaps along with the game itself, I watched my other brother play it and I hope to play it myself once I have time (Nanoko is one of my faves next to Teddy). Devilman Crybaby is a fave anime of mine, even though it can be a little intense at times (but that's kind of the point), I still feel a lot for Akira. I want to get into Demon Slayer since one of my brothers's really into it, but the only thing really stopping me is the normie-ish TikTok anime fandom weebs reeing about it every 15 seconds (same problem I have with getting into BNHA), but I'll be sure to give it a chance soon

This is what happens when American anime nerds get their hands on a budget, developers who know what they're doing, and are allowed to make a JRPG. Takes a lot of inspiration from Battle Angel Alita (seriously, the starting area is really just Scrap Iron City with the serial numbers filed off), Nausicaa and the Valley of the Wind, and some cyberpunk anime. The end result wasn't... y'know, good, but I think it does more things right than it does wrong, and it's had a huge impact on my own writing.

If you go onto YouTube, you can probably find a dozen video essays discussing the deep and highly philosophical themes of the Cyberpunk classic Ghost in the Shell.

Probably won't find that for CyberCity Oedo, but it does has a scene where a naked shotgun toting vampire chases a transvestite around a space station, so I think Oedo might actually be the superior cyberpunk anime.

Jin-Roh and Akira are very similar and are both good. I am currently watching Black Lagoon, which is amazing thus far.
Oh yeah, and Girls Last Tour. And TouHou. To be honest, we would be here all day if I had to list all the otaku stuff I like.

The first 9 episodes or so of Demon Slayer are 10/10 perfect. Then the side characters show up and every second of the rest show is them screaming nonstop. I still finished season 1 but that absolutely ruined the show for me and I've had no inclination to continue.

Also, Chainsaw Man is better than anything Western media has produced in at least 20 years. It will not put you in a good mood though.

This is what ruined the show for me. The main 3 guys are so annoying. Nezuko, all the hashira and the demons are all great but the main trio are cliche shounen trash. S2 had 11/10 animation but turned into screaming in the end.

At least in terms of shounen I agree. It jus oozes style man. The only other recent show that good was dorohedoro but its animation wasnt as good as JJK and its more seinen. Anime really has gotten quite bad when i can only think of a handful of really good shows.

I enjoyed Evenicle a lot, contrary to popular belief the game is super wholesome. There are a couple of disturbing sex scenes, but surprisingly they're used to properly build the evil guys as dispecable. Played the game like an RPG with mature themes, never felt the need to coom.

Devilman is really cool I love the visuals and the OST. I heard somewhere that the anime skipped a solid third of the manga, so I might just read the original someday.

My thoughts on Demon Slayer is that its just the shonen formula exectued with masterful polish. There are annoying characters and segments, but to me they feel like the trappings of the genere. The anime is beautiful though and the movie gave me an awesome emotional high. Seeing it live on cinema was class.

I've heard bubblegum crisis' OST, it bangs. Is the anime good too?

Btw, now that I remember, watching the Konosuba movie in cinema with friends is a highlight for me. The comedy, the reactions of the crowd, the energy. I left giddy, red at the cheeks, and laugh drunk with my buds. I experienced the definition of kino.
