...But really, my current room isn't something I wanna present at the moment. It's comfy, but I've been meaning to replace the wallpaper and give it a paint job for a while now, and I've put it off because I'm gonna need to scoot out all my stuff and get 5 different colors of paint for it. But I do have pictures of my old room, so I'll show that instead.

Behold, the main room of my old house! This baby was my grandpa's old shed renovated into a fully functioning tiny house, complete with heating, indoor plumbing, a kitchen area, a fully kitted out (if tiny) bathroom, and a color changing vaporwave light!

As helpfully demonstrated by my cat Muffin. There was one in the bathroom as well, made baths super luxurious.

Might not have been much, but it was home, and honestly it was really nice even if it had a leaky roof that we constantly fought with. The bed had enough memory foam padding to make an entire mattress with, and it stayed pretty warm in the winter. About $2000 was spent between me, my grandma, and maybe my dad converting the place with the vast bulk of it coming from me, and it was some of the best money I'd ever spent. The paint job on the walls took an entire 2 weeks on its own to do. Made being inside a lot less claustrophobic. Pretty much every piece of furniture that's not the fridge was scavenged, renovated, built from scratch, or brought in from elsewhere. Even the flooring was half vinyl tiles from Walmart and some faux wood floorboards I scored at the local rag store. Would love to have a room look like this again sometime, if not be this functional. Tiny houses are underrated!

They do, yeah; the property's my grandmother's. Since I've moved overseas she comes in and stays in it now when she visits Kentucky, though I think she's changed the decor a bit to match her tastes.

That was my one request that she not mess up the paint job by nailing stuff into the wall, and as far as I know she's kept that promise. I think she likes the mural work enough to not touch it though.

my room is very bare bones; it just has a bed, closet, desk and a metal drawer that i got for free. might hang up some cheap (good looking) artworks if i ever find some at a gallery (or from any other place like that), or i might hang up the artworks that i have made myself, we'll see
