honestly this isn't that bad of an idea
it's definitely better that only shutting down 2 days and then doing something like "only post agoras and roads on r/agoraroad"
only 1 sub got affected because of the whole protest, and it was r/traaaaans

Nah the site will take a bit of a hit but nothing major will happen. There probably wont even be a big change in active users. As they eventually swallow the cum like the good little bitches they are and continue using the site. The web is big and scary after all and no other sites issue the death penalty for wrongthink as leniently as reddit.

If they actually dislike anything >reddit did they would have made a site of their own and migrate there. The banwaves of 2016&17 where much much severe and affected even normie subd yet there wasn't an exodus or any *le epic marvel assemble* moment, as the normies would like to think had happened. It were a few hundred thousand people slowly going to other sites while maintaining their presence on >reddit still. Negligible when the site has millions in users.

For as retarded as most of the site is, there seems to have been a few decently maintained subreddits for niche information. Doesn't help that most of the search engines just turn back a combination of scams and AI generated articles.

I have a hunch this blackout will merely usurp the weirdo mods with corporate plants. Anyone complaining about this being the moment >reddit was "compromised" is lost, that occured long beforehand.

There are just too many situations you find yourself in where the question you want to ask will never be available on a search engine no matter how good it is. Even if no one else on >reddit has asked a similar question to you you can still find the appropriate sub and ask it yourself
