zipit z2 apparently that weird devices was sold as a handheld wifi instant messenger at a time when everyone was hyped about MSN but nobody had cellphones and most people only had one computer for the whole family in the middle of the house

nowadays it just runs a weird old custom linux firmware with no battery capacity and a keyboard way too clicky to be comfortable

In the 80's my grandfather seemed to be a big fan of the SHARP brand.

This VCR has an awesome slide out tray which conceals buttons for scheduling recordings AND a pop-out remote control. Unfortunately I haven't gotten around to fixing it yet so I can't show it off.

And this is a very cool turntable from 83' that could skip tracks like a CD player! I'm hoping to repair this and use it in a retro hi-fi setup.

It's got some pretty wild features for a record player from 1983.

One of my grandma's old portable TVs.
She loved portable TVs, only person I ever knew who actually owned multiple handheld televisions.
Sadly none of them have been useable since broadcast television switched from analog to digital signals.
