Your first mistake was choosing a Gibson over a fender but that's ok. I guess.

I am forever in love with the bigger pickgaurds and body shape of fenders and knock off fenders.

Otherwise, I like the drawing! It has abstraction that would lend itself iro retrofuturist vibes.
Hey thanks! I think you might be taking the proportion and perspective errors as stylization, but anyhow thanks for the kind words.

Day 24

I'm back at it. Today I spent 2 hours doing video editing, sorting out audio stuff and adding a lot of flair to the intro. Its really cheesy, but I think its fun. Hopefully, tomorrow I'll do another attempt at the guitar thing.

Day 25

No pretty picture today since I struggled with drawing. The editing is going full schizo, here's an ugly picture.

Day 26

Video editing

Now we've got about a minute and a half of video done. Tomorrow I'll start recording some lines and getting into the meat and bones of the whole ordeal. I'll have to rack my brain a bit to make the exposition heavy segments poppy and visually interesting.

Drawing
I've hit a bit of a slump with the current course I'm taking, so imma switch for a bit and begin practicing portrait drawing using the loomis method before returning to the technical drawing of objects.

Some of you motherfuckers make me feel inferior. We've got guys making awesome videogames, visual novels, e-zines, websites, and music. And what do I do? Youtube (gay). But if I've already chosen this path I'm gonna work through it as best as I can, so that's why I'm beginning this challenge.

If I don't make at least an hour of progress every day on both videomaking and drawing, or don't post evidence of such, I will donate 200$ USD to the agora. The duration of the challenge is the entirety of 2022, starting today.
(Of course, the rules apply only if I'm not interrupted by outside forces or incidents that affect my health.)

On a more serious note, the truth is I'm on my last semester of college. I'll graduate soon which means I'll have to somehow get a consistent source of income and in general fully contend with the responsibilities of modern life on my own. Its not something that scares me, and I know that I'll deal with it fine, but there's a part of me that knows I could've done so much more regarding my personal ambitions. I've had heaps of freedom and I have wasted most of it meandering. Moving forwards I'll have less and less of that freedom, so at the very least I want one last hurrah before I end this stage of my life. I want to prove to myself that I can be consistent, and I want to create something awesome I can share with others. This is my way of pushing myself to do so.

Since ideally I will be spamming on this thread everyday with pictures and whatnot, I've already bought a subscription as to help with server costs. I don't wanna be a dick.

If I fail, please, do laugh at me.
Well done. Seriously, you've been pulling gains all month. I'm on the opposite end of the spectrum: I'll be graduating by the end of this year, but no free time for personal projects. I've been drawing here and there, but I'm hoping to have enough free time while I'm working to flesh out my hobbies. While I was drawing, there was a cool site called dad.gallery where I'd upload my images. It's a community that's all about drawing everyday, might be something to look into.

Good luck, Soma. I'm rooting for you.

Hey that website looks pretty awesome, I might use it soon enough. Thanks for the encouragement, I'll be rooting for you too! Best of luck with college!

Day 27

Drawing

The loomis method is surprisingly intuitive. It might be because of all the practice I've done before this, but I feel that the knowledge was jammed almost instantly onto my head. Of course, there's a long way to go to make real high quality portraits, but y'know, I'm pretty happy of how fast I'm getting the hang of it.

Video editing
I needed to record some voicelines for the video, but there's a lot of noise in my home today. What can I do, I'm just a dude in my room. I'll have to wait until tomorrow.

Did it early today.

This pose was a bit more hard than the last ones, the nose and the right eye tripped me up a little. Still turned out allright

Why is doing voiceovers so fucking hard? I'm not even voiceacting, just trying to sound like a normal, alert, human bean. Anyhow, progress is being made.

Wow, I'm impressed this thread still won't die. Keep up the good work, spice boy.

I will give you an advice about them tricky poses so you can draw stuff like a michelangelo: wrap your mind around how to draw stuff from seeing it. In that draw ya did I realized you were constrained by them guidelines and even a little bit confused by them too, that's why that drawing looks like a picasso. There's some cool method you can try: finding a 3d reference model for blender and doing the following: try to do a pose, then check on blender if ya did it right or nots then draw it again this time right. Do as many poses as you wish. The more you err the better because you're "debugging" your drawing brain section. Bit by bit you will be training your brain to acquire that "drawing perspective" thinking and visualizing. If you are curious about certain angle you can use the 3d blender model to check it out. Check every angle from every position and distance as you wish. Your brain creates "how to draw" information from empirical information processed for drawing purposes. What this means is the following: You often see stuff but don't see it to draw it so your brain won't really get that "how to draw it" information from what you've seen; when you begin watching more and more stuff with the intention to draw it your mind will get more and more information about how you could draw it making a whole scheme inside ya mind making that thing you saw into "how to draw it" instructions. Drawing whatever you saw or even imagined will come naturally to you like speaking a second language when you've been living on that country for ten years if you condition your brain to process the visual input into drawing instructions. You're drawing your visual input so be immersed on it as much as you can so your brain gets filled with that information.

Hope my autistic rant was clear for your practical needs.

So, while I've been following some highly recommended courses that have helped me quite a bit I did some digging around to see if I could find a whole curriculum as to guide me.
I found this: https://www.brendanmeachen.com/soloartist.

It looks pretty usefull and it has inside of it a few of the resources I've been using. The plan is to stick to the resources posted in here, let's see how it goes.

Gotta be real careful with that one. The resources are good but the timeline is insane. 7+ hours of grinding every day to complete two-three courses in a month.

Yeah I completely disregarded the timeline. I'm not doing this fulltime, so I don't care whateverlong it takes. Thanks for keeping watch for me, though.
