I originally found out about the Dead Internet Theory on this website, and have been hooked on it ever since (even though I don't quite believe it).

It brings up some interesting philosophy, and also brings to mind the nostalgia towards the "old internet", which I think vaporwave and this website encapsulate very deeply.

I've found out about this website within the last few days. It is interesting, since I remember first interacting with the internet as a child on desktop computers, and websites were formed almost identically the same way as this one. A blast from the past. I find it possible that one day the functions of contemporary internet will be disregarded by the average user and the manner of this kind of net will be thought further, while keeping many aspects of this style as a foundation. However, corporations are not likely to let up on their target audience, mustering out as much profit as possible in many nuances.

I posted this in the other thread but it's relevant here too:
I used to work in search engine optimization and marketing, the tools they are using now to manipulate results is insane. Trillions of fake bot accounts, spewing out fake posts based on keywords.. a lot of which use narcissism to gas light a response out of you to further push the conversation. Nice to see these videos coming out now so the normies can understand what's happening to their internet. Political correctness has snuffed out creativity and we're left with a facade of what used to be the greatest library human kind had ever known. Now it's just a cesspool of propaganda, psyops, and brainwash even the most adept can barely escape.

This is interesting. I will think on these thoughts and ideas. NPC reality is keen. Carrington Event anyone?

I'm sympathetic to the video's OP, but his argument's not sound, nor is it valid. his jump from descarte to nietzsche is an appeal to authority. This isn't a justification for the existence of God, but it is to say that the existence of God is not sufficently refuted here.

One of the videos I watched on the theory suggested that watching anime was the surefire way to defeat internet stagnation and bot takeover. I was right with the guy up until that point. I've seen some anime that was pretty cool, but I kind of lost the ability to take him seriously. It was that 'All time' channel.

This guy also has something to add. He furthers the thought about real-life NPCs and Bots.

If you were viewing from another person it would still be your perspective, so other perspectives do not exist. Commenting on the video

new theory: originally, the entire internet consisted of bots, and as people joined, the bots disappeared. now, most of the internet is real people.
i call it the "alive internet theory"
I like this theory

Stumbled upon this strange subreddit from this link (found on Google), it goes by the name of "The edgy side of the internet"/ r/a:t5_jortr. 0 members, not posted on in years, and only members are allowed to post. Convinced 90% of the accounts that posted on here are bots. Some posts indicate it used to be r/RichPeopleWisdom. Can someone please explain this?
