For anyone from before the Internet that had a tingling of what ASMR was the moment it came out was a great thing. As a kid I recall getting sleepy whenever I got a prescription from the doctor. It was the same thing when seeing the Matrix interrogation scene, when Agent Smith flips trough the folder with Neo's criminal record. I also remember watching tarot readings in Much Music (a local MTV spin off).



So about a decade ago I think, finding on Internet the whole ASMR wikipedia, articles and "community"...it was cool that other people was able to put a name to this otherwise very hard to describe without sounding gay phenomenon.

As soon as a I went ahead and watched what the ASMR videos were about...I just knew...

"People are masturbating to this".

The whole thing made me very self-concious. I had this relaxing thing and now I'm some intimacy cuckold put in the same bag with people subscribing to PaganVixen666 to see videos of a slimy mouth BPD whore tapping a table and talking to their ears.

Suppose the feeling must have been general because after a while the whole "unintentional ASMR" thing spun off, but I never followed any of it.

These are the only ASMR videos that I stuck with, that I found myself. I've seen these videos hundreds of times whenever I needed to sleep, or I had to get to work, or I was in a real stressful situation. agreed , been following the asmr community for awhile and yeah its basically a massive fetish. Noncoomershit gets no views (unless its a meme video or something) but coomershit tends to get views fast for obvious reasons.

i don't think ALL of it is sexual, personally i get the sensation from seeing small things carefully arranged, delicate work with hands, etc. the videos of thots whispering into a microphone and tapping their nails are just annoying to me. the best ASMR experience I ever had was dissecting lymph nodes out of a colon alongside a soft-spoken pathologist - don't knock it until you've tried it. but it's unsurprising that there's a smaller market for that stuff than for plausibly deniable fetish videos and girlfriend RP.
