Unless i'm mistaken it's a case of sublimated androphilia. The boyfriend actually wishes to be dominated by the other man but due to mental conditioning is only able to permit himself to indulge the fantasy by interposing the girlfriend as his own sexual proxy. For the vocal minority who make it their entire focus, it causes a significant amount of their sense of self to be reliant on other people validating their incoherent gender identities or their sexual preference. They have to project it onto other people after the fact. Historical revisionism is somewhat prevalent in the alphabet community, claiming that random historical periods were paradise for being gay when it was just pederasty for example. Or claims certain people were 100% gay/trans/whatever when there's no evidence.

All jokes aside it's awful how they have such a broken reality. They don't recognize they need mental health treatment. Their whole identity is what they want to bone or be boned by and varies like the winds. I get that everyone doesn't fit into neat categories and that's fine. Be free. Just don't expect others to know/care about your weird unique pronouns.

Yeah be respectful of their pronouns, but at the same time the pronoun users need to be respectful that many don't know or care about their pronouns. That people make the effort to know yours should be a delightful surprise, not an expectation.

Right, and then when you try to tell them to not make everything a matter of engaging in lifelong hedonistic practices they then go into full projection mode, claiming you must have several skeletons in your closet because disgust is totally the same as insecurity. It really highlights how most of these people argue like petty high-schoolers addicted to juicy gossip about people they've never met.

Identity politics is a shortcut to Being Special without having to do any actual work to distinguish yourself and gender identity is the most abused because anyone can claim to be nonbinary or trans and no one can falsify that claim.

An old theory that Kurt Cobain was a closeted trans person is going around on Twitter currently. Context: See origins section.
The first time was last year when this tweet was made, and later deleted:

Now a few days ago the same account made a new tweet about it.

Personally looking at what was provided on the sourced forums on KYM I agree with what was written on the KYM page:

while the evidence was interesting, it could also point to Kurt being more gender-fluid or cis and feminist, and it would be impossible to know for sure.

I wouldn't really care all that much and wouldn't be making this post, if it wasn't for this account pushing the idea that Kurt was trans. As I and apparently many others said over the years, we simply don't know what Kurt's identity was and we defiantly shouldn't say someone is something they might not be.

Counterpoint: Kurt Cobain had a kid. You don't have a kid unless it's either a mistake. I find it highly unlikely he was transgender, because transgenders have gender dysphoria- which tends to escalate to taking drugs to be feminine and *behaving like* a woman, not being a feminine man.

There is a big difference between a man who's feminine in behaviour and a man who's trying to be like a woman.

Additionally, just the fact he had sex enough to have a kid. This alone means a lot of sex as probability alone means pregnancy is unlikely after having sex once. Having a kid means you're committed to your identity as straight or bisexual and tends to mean you're committed to being your biological sex- which I'd think, based on sensibleness, that it means he's committed to his gender.

I'd say there's not enough proof to say he was. I think it's okay to label historical figures as transgender if there is solid evidence that they were (Elagabalus being a good example of this) but there just isn't enough evidence to say that Kurt wasn't just a guy who was feminine. I wouldn't be surprised if he was questioning, but there isn't enough proof for a definitive answer.
Also Kurt Cobain didn't kill himself.
