am i the only one who remember those ?

they were 350px by 19px images people used to have lots of them in their signature, most of them kept like the same layout with like the same font (Visitor) and the same black outline

here are some that i made you can see them in my signature as well

there used to be a site userbars.be where people would share their bars but the site went offline a few months ago out of nowhere

a tutorial in french from back in my days to make a userbar in GIMP i'm posting it here cause i remember reading it as a kid it's an archived version tho the site where it come from vastly changed since then became corporate and stuff

Im pretty retarded and cant speak french, luckily I have eyes so I will try to follow this tutorial. I was always too stupid for something like this, now I can finally redeem myself.

I looked all around the web for a userbar maker program. I kept finding references to this one from 2006 but all the download links were dead. I finally found one working download (and scanned it for viruses, its clean). I'm gonna upload it to the internet archive and then post the link here for you all. I don't want this software to become lost.
