Since a lot of us migrated here from 4chan, I wanna know what boards y'all use, how long you've been there, etc. Just a general chat about that website or whatever.

I've been using 4chan since about 2015.

I used to spend a lot of time on /a/ and /m/ but I don't really watch anime anymore. /his/ has been taken over by pol-cels that make a lot of threads unenjoyable so that's been discarded. I usually just use /lit/ and sometimes /biz/ when I'm trying to gamble money on crypto.

I miss the beta cringe threads and the greentext threads on /b/. And the BAW/sad greentext threads were super emotional, sad that its all just porn now.

Yeah, /b/'s awful now. It was the first board I used to use and was a ton of fun to explore. Now it's just a boring, plain ass porn board.

It is quite simple at least
LURK BUT DON'T POST
  • /co/
USED TO USE BUT NOT ANYMORE
  • /pol/
  • /g/
I have never posted in 4ch but went to /pol/ for conspiracies and /g/ for tech. It genuinely feels bad that more than half of the /g/ posts are made by bots and shills.

I pretty much stick to these boards. /lit/ is my favorite and the one I get the most enjoyment out of using and interacting on. With the others it's always a crapshoot.

I basically treat /fit/ like a locker room, a place I can go to overhear other guys talk about, like, guy stuff.

/pol/ and /r9k/ are some of the greatest continuous pieces of fiction I've ever read, and I enjoy contributing every now and again because it's fun to take wild theories and just run with them. But I usually find I have to go for a walk or go out or do something after browsing on both of them for so long, because the worlds they both create are mind-splitting after a while, and you need a breath of fresh air now and again.

/x/ comes off to me as very earnest and almost innocent, despite what's posted on there. I like some of their threads, but using that board for longer than ten minutes or so gives me a headache and I gotta get off.

these days I mostly go on /g/, /ck/ and /mu/. I go on /wg/ and /fa/ sometimes too I guess. I used to like /r9k/, /b/, and /x/, but they seem to have declined greatly. I liked /x/ before it was full to the brim with schizo larpers and occult geniuses, it still has interesting threads but you need the energy to wade through a lot of depressing garbage.

I've been going to imageboards since 2005 orz
I still go to 4chan even though it's nothing like actual 4chan anymore.
I'll check out /pol/ for the controversies but other than that not much anymore.
I started going to 420chan and 4-ch again so there's that.

I've been on there since 2013. With the years, I stopped posting on many boards that became a headache (the big ones). Nowadays I'm mainly active on /vr/, /vrpg/, /sp/ and /c/. Occasionally I lurk /tv/. I'm also active in some of the smaller webring boards —this is a dirty secret; never let them know you browse 4chan.

I prefer to use /tg/ as I like posting some of my worldbuilding stuff there. I just scroll through /vst/ and /vrpg/ from time to time, but I don't use /v/. I like browsing through /k/, /a/, and /m/, but the ones I avoid interacting with are mostly /x/ and all of the porn boards.

Basically only /x/ and /pol/. Sometimes /adv/ and years ago /b/ when there actually used to be funny stuff.

The rare times that I browse 4chan, I exclusively browse /b/

I don't think it's all porn, but there's certainly a lot. Maybe I'm spoiled by the rest of the internet but I don't really "get" the appeal of pornographic pictures or short little clips when there's loads of "tube" porn sites with practically every imaginable interest

/b/ was definitely better back in the day, though, but I tend to say that about pretty much everything nowadays (social media, music...taxes, lol)

Porn addiction is ubiquitous today, and when people get an addiction they feel the need to make everybody else addicted to it as well. I avoid all the +18 boards but even on blue boards it's hard to avoid the typical coomer trying to make us part of his obsession.

Way back when I first started using 4chan (maybe 2007ish?) I pretty much exclusively used /b/, /a/, and /x/. These days I still pop in those (/b/ has gone way down hill though) and also lurk in /r9k/, /adv/, and /ck/ a lot too, and occasionally pop in /mu/, /fa/, /lit/, /vt/, and /pw/. I rarely ever actually post though, pretty much just a lurker.
