hard to really narrow it down here for me since i would basically have to stetch it out to trans am's other peers within the post rock genre like isotope 217, the sea and the cake and tortoise. specifically these songs.

you can probably find something similar with the young marble giants. they're more punk influenced but you can find a familiar vibe with their minimal punk and synth sound in their only album.

if you're looking for something more inspired from jazz than you should at look post rock's close friend, math rock with bands like toe and elephant gym who bring a more poppy jazz like sound while still retaining its technical roots in math rock. unfortunately that would also be stretching further away from what you wanted to hear originally here.
