True, but you never know which artists will just drop off the face of the Earth and wouldn't be able to. If .nebula's bandcamp got taken down for whatever reason, I doubt he would rise from the abyss to officially reupload GALLERY elsewhere.I'm sure those artists can release their works elsewhere.
Man, I'm still upset they dropped one LP and some EP's then just peaced out. Still don't know when or why.
EDIT: Holy shit, I finally have closure. Vapor Memory's upload of L A S T S U M M E R on youtube includes relevant profiles for all of .nebula's stuff, including their bandcamp and twitter. Unfortunately, the Twitter profile was deleted and the wayback machine didn't archive any captures of it. However, there are captures of the tumblr that prove user ueko is .nebula, and they're still active on twitter!
Still don't know why they decided to stop making music so quickly after starting, but there's great solace in at least knowing who they are (and that they're at least, you know, alive.)
Sorry, I know this was long and only tangentially related to the topic, but I'm just really excited to find this out.
EDIT 2: I'm just now remembering that Architecture in Tokyo also ceased to exist out of nowhere, and went out of their way to delete all of their content. If anyone has any information or archives of their discography, let me know. The only albums of theirs I have are Architecture in Tokyo, Summer Paradise, and Smooth Hits (Which I had to rip from YouTube lmao).
I might just make my own post in general about this since this reply is getting pretty full as-is.
